  • I've seen a few of these up close. They haunt my dreams almost everynight. there were 2 fires on my street recently (a house 2 months ago and then the vacant apartment building nextdoor to that house was on fire last week. I've been on edge pretty bad after witnessing both fires that were right across the street from me. They got the house is fixed up already.

  • I love how the hoodrats talkin shit about the fire and them not putting water on it all act like dey know whats up,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,maybe y'all should go to firefighting school!, anyway cool video!

  • Whys no guy on the roof to open up

  • @djkhaled55 probaly cuase it was under a possable cosslapes

  • Very great response and 4starr Fort Worth. I would rate Dallas as 5star and Carrollton 3 star.

  • Retard ever heard of them fighting the fire from the inside and i bet you have no clue about how they do what they do so shut up with the why arent they spraying it

  • My two cents is that ladder truck is useless. Even though the engine has the ideal spot, you can always move the ladder truck. Nose in or tight to the side, you could have gotten the roof.

Love the ground ladder idea. But after the fact or another company could have repositioned the ladder truck. It's essential to vent the roof with balloon type construction. Good stop.

Remember. Just because you park the engine or ladder truck, it doesn't mean you can't move it. Stay safe.

  • @engineco3wfd That wasn't the BEST spot for the engine.

Unless there was a door and a gate on that side of the house, then the engine crew will have to hop the fence in order to advance the hoseline.

The best placement would be for the engine and truck to swap spots..

Engine in front of the building facilitates a quick,UNIMPEDED advance of the hoseline.

From the side, the truck can use its aerial for ventilation ops.

  • there are no beasments in fort worth that i know of my hubby is a vol ff

  • there ar no beasments in fort worth that i know of my hubby is a vol ff

  • ive been observing your comments on this fire ..im a english firefighter having done over 27yrs in the job..in our country we use high pressure hosereel which we charge up to 26bar..its light and easy to use as we stow it on a reel in the side locker we just pull off as much as we need ..and as we advance up the stairs or around the property its so much easier than dragging hard charged hose around ..less water damage etc .and can be used with very little exsertion

  • They did a good job getting some water on the fire. Problem is your chasing this type of fire through the walls. As soon as possible i would have sent a second line to the basement. With balloon construction there is a good chance it could have started in the basement and shown no signs of fire in the first or second floor and have a fully involved attic. Pull Ceiling on the second floor and get a line in the basement. I am not sure what this department did but it appears they got a good knock

  • @Dorsky50 The Problem is, there are no basements on structures in this neck of the woods!! However, it was a great observation on your part..Thank you for your input!!

  • I totally agree to what Dorsky50 said about Getting a Second Line into the house ASAP if their was a Basement but then if not then i would start opening up windows to start the ventilating Process then start to open up the roof to see where the Hot Spots are at then go from their. So far everyone did good Double check and triple check everything inside the house to make sure the fire is completely out to you wont have to respond back to the scene.

  • @tuskalootie Why is that a problem if there's no basement?

  • firefighters=real heroes in this country

  • What a waste of a historical home to go up in flames.

  • Nice trucks, don't see blue fire trucks everyday!

  • how about a little hustle, theres like 6or7 guys just standing around

  • Its funny to listen to the onlookers that have no idea whats going on.

  • @IanHimself28 seems like most of the people commenting on this video are the same way!

  • @IanHimself28 i had that when i was buffing a rv fire on my vaction their like break out all the windows and i was saying to feed the fire oxygen lol

  • Fine Job! Taxpayers getting their monies worth!

  • Putting some water on that hot red stuff would help.

  • Wow they r soooooo slow

  • Sorry on the last comment I meant awwww

  • Asses the guy rubbing the girls back is that there house

  • Lol fire! Maybe we should do something like maybe see if there okay instead of filming it xD lol thats my first reaction, WHERE'S THE CAMERA?!?!?! Jk

  • Good they have sirens to get there fast...

  • @jimandnikki1 you need to watch what you say.... and just the simple ignorance of your comment tells me you know absolutley nothing about firefighting... they care plenty but they put their own safety first over everything... including the victim.... there are certain aspects of firefighting that have to be completed before you even make an attack but im not even going to begin to explain them to you because you are too stupid to understand it... Merry Christmas.... jackass

  • @kodythepimp01 Sounds like he may have failed the written or physical agility test.

  • @kodythepimp01 damn, you beat me to it. Always a good laugh listening to the know it alls who think its simply run in put wet shit on hot shit.

  • @kodythepimp01

The order of importance on any scene:

    1. Yourself

    2. Your crew

    3. Other people (patients/victims or anyone else around)

    4. Stuff (houses, vehicles, ...etc)

Sounds selfish, but it's not. We can't save anyone or anything if we get hurt/killed in the process.

P.S. If a emergency unit goes down, they rank higher on the "need to save" list than any original victims.

    Cheers, from a wildland firefighter/EMT. :)

  • @jimandnikki1 You Sir, are an idioit.

  • @jimandnikki1 your an idiot... im in the explorer post at my local fire dept.. and let me tell you.. it takes us soo long to get all the hose connections tight, make sure theres no kinks in the hoses, hook them up to hydrants, and so much more. not only that but they all have to be connected tight, and hoses weigh alot.. a 4 inch hose full of water weighs probley close to 80 pounds

  • @jimandnikki1, Firefighter's put their lives on the line everyday to protect lives and property, they deserve our gratitude and respect asshole!!!

  • @usmcdevildawg77. Theres a few reasons why they aren't using the main on the ladder. One, look at the obstructions infront of the house, you have wires running across the front. And two, the truck company's priority was to throw ground ladders so that the interior crew have a means of egress if they need to bail out of a window

  • They might have been making an aggressive interior attack, but not until about 2:15 into the video..

  • Sorry, wtha's a "balloon construction"?

  • @kasgasna Balloon construction means that there are no fire stops in the walls. A fire on the first floor can travel inside the walls and spread to the upper floors and attic very quickly.

  • @PoppaBlue59 thanks for the explanation

  • @kasgasna Glad to help!

  • THEY BEATING THAT FIRE UP GOOD JOB GUYS NICE VIDEO

  • AMEN TO THAT VOLKSSTURM1917

  • Up here in New England the police would have the fire scene locked down.

  • Hey usmcdevildawg77 the reason for the guys standing next to the fence is there is a law that says we have to have a Rapid Intervention Team in place in the event that firefighters become trapped. So they are that team and they aren't allowed to do anything else

  • haha wow this is my friends nando house there he is with the white T n hat

  • AND they have a ladder truck sitting in the middle of the street, why dont they use it?

  • @usmcdevildawg77 Happen to notice the utilitie lines and such in front of the house?

  • Here is a good idea, instead of standing around outside the white picket fence u get your asses in there with an aggressive interior attack!!! I know all dept's have different SOP's but come on!!!

  • @usmcdevildawg77 Here's a good idea...look a little closer, jarhead. They ARE in there making an aggresive attack.

  • @PoppaBlue59 Agreed! just another example of a dumbass talking about something that they have no knowledge of.

  • i feel bad for them

  • With balloon construction, once the fire gets into the walls it's going straight to the attic. Vent the roof so it doesn't mushroom down on you pushing fire into every void space available, snuff the seat of the fire, put a line in the attic from below, then open up void spaces between the point of origin and the attic. A good hole in the roof would have helped this effort tremendously.

  • Looks like fist due engine took the spot I would have wanted the ladder. They weren't in too much of a hurry to vent . We all run our firegrounds differently.

  • great stop

  • to the citizens at the fire. When white smoke (water vapor) comes out of the fire with black smoke it usually means water is being applied. Don't state something as fact when you have no idea what ur talking about. They had water on the fire almost @ the beginning of the video.

  • Love listening to the citizens.. they really have no idea!!! The boys put a good stop on this one! If im not mistaken thats balloon construction!!! Could have been a lot worse

  • @ffnva30 yep balloon construction ! good call!
