That's 5:58 of my life I will NEVER get back! They are not windy stairs, they are two tier MODULAR stairs. And you make REALLY hard work out of making them. I appreciate your efforts but there are much simpler tutorials out there showing you how to do the same thing faster and better. A simple rename would ensure that other people don't waste that precious 5:58 in future.

Excellent music, however the video leaves something to be desired. It is like a lost work of Rembrandt, beautiful yet lacking a few final strokes. This is my way of saying that the video ends with just building the stairs, but does not provide the full picture of a house that would make use of the stairs. I have a simpler method of building these stairs without destroying the surrounding foundation using the floor elevation cheat which requires leveling the room just below the roof. Still NceJob

It's a pretty easy concept that you did. However, it has one flaw. If you go to make a doorway to the house/building, this will prove very difficult. Sims can't crawl through an entrance that is the height of a foundation. To make a doorway of proper height, it will skew the wall height around that area. I managed to level off the height of the 2nd floor at the stairs by creating a "triangle" on the wall right below the landing of the top of the stairs (the triangle is created via wall height)

I placed really tall stairs (grr) inside my house and had to build an upstairs (giving a new roof and giving it new walls or something) and my sims can't climb the stairs... it's Sims 3 for PS3.. is it a glitch? Because I want to make their bedroom upstairs but it won't work if they walk outside to go to bed cause the stairs don't work. :S thx

for things like walls, fences, foundation, tiles... you can delete them by selecting the item from the panel and then holding the 'ctrl' button while you select and drag. it's sorta like if you're gonna make more foundation, but actually deleting it because of the ctrl key.
