i can definitely appreciate the honesty in this interview what with them trading war stories in terms of getting work and all... the overall tone of it just came off different to the interviews with actors that i'm used to seeing here in the states...

In response to Jason, David Tennant had a prolific acting career prior to being the Doctor, hence being offered the part, he didn't go cap in hand for the job he was asked if he wanted it *steps off soapbox*

guys don't call her dumb she's actually quite clever, she went to one of the big universities in London and if you're really gonna start calling people dumb then even though I love Billie piper and thought she was great she wasn't exactly the most intellectual of people, in her autobiography throughout the whole thing she spelt Eccleston wrong along with many other spelling errors so....

Hey -- don't be tight, I reckon that she could be good if we all just gave her a chance, seriously. I mean yeah, at first I had my doubts but she does seem like an ok person and I think that it's only fair that we give the girl a chance! I would love to see you trying to answer questions on a delayed signal while trying to ignore the sound of your own voice coming back at you. Especially since she was just suddenly flung from a normal life into the limelight. She answered all the questions properly so what the heck were you on about?

And the interviewers were kind of crap at posing questions- like when he was referring to David Tennant saying 'Doctor Who' and expecting her to think that he meant the actor and not the character.

She didn't come across well in this interview at all. But it's a few years later and well, I LOVE Martha. She's much better than Rose. Gutted she's only back for 5 episodes this year. Hope she's not going to be flung in Torchwood again, she's too god for it!
