Why does the slide only count as 1, not 2, as in start and end note. Learning a solo by this way would make life easy. Sometimes the ryhtms in blues solos are "weird" and hard to get until someone breaks it down for you.

All this says is that there are NO formulas to solo phrasing!
However this does point out the fact to pay attention to "groupings" of note choices to make solos more musical.
