  • I had to drop the track to get my axel out im a bit confused as to how to line up the driveshaft when I put it back in? Does it just go to the left and bump up against the bearing then I lock the collar down ?

    HELP - LOL

  • @rcnutman you kinda have to slide it into the bearing on one side and then lift it and line it up with the one on the other side and once its in then you get it centered and lock down the locking collar

  • I bought a 07 z 570 rode it two miles and I blew the gearcase, the bearing was shot in the gearcase, it cost me 600 bucks to have arctic cat replace the bearings and gears. Anyway with my luck, i was out riding my other sled and wham....my speedo stopped working. I got home and sure enough it looked just like yours - same situation ! I was not paying them that money again so I watched this video and it insprired me to try it myself. all is torn apart and parts will be here thursday !

  • if that bearing is junk would the snowmobile still move or would not move at all????

cuz i have a snowmobile and my speedo dont work but the guy i got it from said he replaced the bearing but idk if i should trust him

  • @codyraab1 it will still go on a shot bearing and you will never know and it will wreck that drive shaft over time and then you'll have to have the shaft welded up and then machined back to spec

  • @AllenTrucks oh thanks lol

  • yea, i like what you say but you are going to confuse people with knocking those bearing lockers off & on as you skipped it

  • haha dam arctic craps my f7 bearings went out too Dx

  • I have a 1996 polaris 440, and the speedometer drive key broke of in the shaft and I cant get it out, any suggestions? the bearing is good and i rather not take it out. I just cant grab a hold of the drive key with anything.

  • @TheDman52 i usually take and use something like a pick that you would use to remove o-rings to get them out, you could also do it by taking a nail and making the end really small and sharp and try to use that to pick it out of the end of the shaft, but if its rusted in there it will probably never come out

  • Good video.

  • good video,, wish you did it last year

  • @sleith75 i actually did replace one last year but i never made a video
