  • love your passion for AIC. Ditto..

  • desgarrador temazo AGUANTE ALICE IN CHAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I had a dream of meeting Layne Staley, too. At the end of the dream he said "I better go back to God." I didn't want him to leave and I started to cry. He said, "Maybe you'll see me again." Then he walked off my porch and climbed on the tree in my front yard, he got to the top and jumped to the sky and vanished.

  • @HardyBoyFan101 wow !

  • @bicycles100 Ikr! The dream felt so real.

  • est troppu bella usta hanzone,,de sas menzus AiC...

  • in the end layne is dead,we have an untainted pure catalog of music to enjoy made while the man was in his prime.in time gr8ness will be recognized, its just too good not to be.

  • I'm crying... I want Layne back... I don't belive that drugs killed him and i'm asking why. He should now be with us...

  • whoever the 3 people are who disliked this song.... FUCK YOU!!!!

  • This song and Motley Crue's "Flush" were two songs I had on constant rotation in my truck during one of the bleakest points of my life. As men we're supposed to keep a stiff upper lip, to not let it show, even when deep down you just want to scream for help, or at least for a reason to not put a bullet through your own fucking head.

  • Ja rychtyk fest gryfno muzyka!

  • I PIù PROFONDI

  • RIP MIKE STARR AND LAYNE STALEY! May you both be at peace from your addictions and together again making music.

And please people, Mike felt bad enough about Layne and had to live with it until he passed away so STOP making this about "OMG he was there and didn't do anything"

THAT IS NOT UP TO US TO JUDGE.

Mike and Layne had demons we can not imagine or understand. Both deserve nothing but respect and love.

  • For some reason I imagine this being played in an ice skating rink

  • Never unerstood why you all argue. Nirvana and AiC are both fantastic bands so how about all you haters get a grip and fuck off? We are all trying to enjoy some good music if you want to fight for band that doesnt give a fuck for your opinion when you put them up against another band - then go take that shit elsewhere. Pricks.

  • @86paul80 thumbs up i agree with you.

  • wow am i really hearing all this shit talk on nirvana? heres a pop quiz for you, who has sold more albums, nirvana or aic? hhmmmmm i think nirvana. so dont talk shit and layne didnt die a death any better assholes. you think an OD on heroine is any more glorious? im a HUGE aic fan and i LOVE layne staley BUT Nirvana is my favorite band of all time. and if it wasnt for kurt writing SMTS wed still be stuck in the god damn 80s with hair metal.

  • @MakaveliOutlawz91 sales dont make a band better or worse than another, look at how many albums J biebs sells... plus nirvana imo is wayyy overated, and aic is very underated.

  • Layne Staley was with Mike Starr 04/04/02. It was Mike's birthday. They got in an argument. Mike left. Layne Staley OD'd on a mix of Heroin and Coke shortly after that and is presumed to have died 04/05/02. Nobody "killed" Layne. He was sick for a while and had already confided to people he was close to death. Mike Starr does feel guilty for not calling 911 because he knew Staley was sick, but Staley told Mike he would befriend him if he intervened. RIP Layne Staley a truly talented musician u_u

  • i m one of those obseesive fans of music. infact its all i realy do, top 3 bands ever....alice in chains, days of the new, nirvana...ones still living:)

  • AIC outs out the craziest shit to listen to stoned..

Listened to this last time I got stoned, and it seriously took me on a journey.

  • When your a full blown addict...u pretty much just want to b left alone...to do what makes u forget about whatever it is you want to forget about, and just be...think Layne captured those thoughts in most of his writings...any drug vs.human race = drug EVERYtime!!!

  • i think Duvall is fine....

  • Stop Talking About Nirvana... we are listening to Alice... if you wanna comment something about nirvana... go to a nirvana video ;)

  • Great photos, incredible song. Nice job. :)

  • I've never had a real drug problem but I've suffered from severe depression throughout my teens and I would use drugs to cope. Mainly just pills but when I did space out, I would do it full blast. This song really captures that feeling. High on vicodin, it's almost like your content wit h the fact that you'll probably resort to suicide

  • @Billy7ue32 try mdma it was invented to help psychiatric problems and annecdotally works

  • by far one of my favorite songs by them, sorrow and grace never sounded so good

  • on celeb rehab mike starr said that he "felt" responsible because he did a heroine shot with him or something and that layne begged him not to call the cops etc. on the last day of the show, layne staley's mom showed up to let mike know she didn't blame him.

  • nirvana fan here...and what

  • This is not an hit but still one of my favourite ones.

  • AIC has the ability to make me feel so peaceful sad and happy at the same time...thank you layne, jerry, sean, mike starr & inez...and duvall!!! :)

  • @Suna9 I agree with your comment, cept the duvall part.

  • @coldfire2227

    well, that's called DEMOCRACY :) greetings! x

  • @coldfire2227 I agree

  • @coldfire2227 no doubt !

  • @Suna9

    na a, screw duvall

  • @Suna9

    na a, screw duvall

I should be there instead of him.

  • @Suna9 Agreed Totally. Staley, Cantrell, Kinney, Inez, Starr, AND Duvall have done all that, and more. This band has been my favorite since I found them in the early nineties. I hear a lot of people knock Duvall... but its garbage. Yes, he's not Layne, and no one ever will be. However... he's very appropriate for the band. Thankful for him to keep my favorite band moving forward.

  • i love AIC, and i will always love AIC.....its such a drag that Layne died that horrible way. he was such a nice, humorus guy, a guy who i wold liked to hang around with....it is very sad that he died so young. and whoever thinks AIC is emo, you guys are fucking retarded, Layne did not feel sorry for himself, he just regretted what he did. R.I.P. Layne, you will always be missed, bro.

  • Actually, I´ve also have heard what tadychc said. That the people closest to Layne hadnt heard from him in weeks during the his final time in life.

Man I hate heroin more then any drug in the world, it messed up the two greatest Grunge legends. I remember I got really sad/dissapointed when I saw a pic of Layne preparing to shoot H with a girl

  • What a fucking stupid comment

  • that is the biggest load of bull shit i have ever heard layne staley didnt hang out with anyone when he died he was alon and one way or another drugs still would have killed him

  • You really dont know that. Do you have any proof where he was april the 4th to back that statement up? Why dont you ask Mike Starr for yourself then. And yes he was alone but he got abandoned by Mike Starr during his final moments in which he could have saved him. Layne said he didnt want to die this way in the first place.

  • @coldfire2227 Man you may be a big fan of aic but in fact you're really dumb! You look like one of those obsessed nirvana fans that won't live their lives because they're too busy trying to figure who crucified their fuckin messiah, like Courtney Love or somthin.. Now it's the bassist fault that the guy been an addict for a hole decade?I love aic songs, but I just hate psycho fans. They're a disgrace.Lennon is dead `cause of a psycho, so is dimebag and whatever.

  • @locoawise Pscyo fan? haha you got to be kidding. I never said that Layne was dead because of Mike. Im a huge fan of AiC but im not obsessed with them. And never compare me to a nirvana fan bud. Your the fucking idiot for making that accusation for a "psyco fan".

  • @coldfire2227 shame in you guys! hahaha

  • @locoawise agree 100%

  • @locoawise

    you're so stupid man.....

you should not exist Fuck !!!!

  • @RolanMotion Watch you and your life shithead, and then you tell me Im dumb.

  • I agree, he had what can only be described as terminal depression. Mental illness kills. The drugs were only a symptom, not the cause. Ive known plenty like him from my time in mental hospitals. They usually try electro convulsive therapy when they are that far gone, but it is often hopeless..

  • There are interviews with Starr on youtube admitting he was there with him on the day. He said that Layne didnt want him to call the cops.

  • @nimitz1983 than show me one

  • @nimitz1983 i saw that too, and he talked about it on celeb rehab

  • i love aic layne staley and jerry cantrell

  • could you send me that pic from 0:33 ? please !:D

  • very nice pictures... fits the song.. laynes voice is ..just amazing

  • this song deserved a video, i agree with what yo say. AIC created an atmosphere to each song, you get hipnotized and surrounded by it, get a picture of what Staley was feeling and gets in your head. There are few bands that can create songs that get you to a different place, with a meaning and truth. That why i respect AIC. They were deep n honest musicians, not just a pack of headbangers or posers. Staley wrote poems instead of simple lyrics. RIP Layne

  • Nice vid mate, AIC is a gem....

  • Link is dead...

  • try it again, worked for me.

  • jesus.....mike starr let layne die.... i think it was for the best though....heroin eventually would've gotten to him

  • You seem to miss the point though. He took off when Layne was asking for him to call 9/11, instead he stole his drawings for Layne's nephew, and didnt tell anybody for two weeks that Layne needed help. He's a a fucking scumbag. I hope drugs claim him and he dies a slow painful death, he deserves it. If Mike would have called 9/11 Layne would have been treated and would probally be on his feet right about now. Now we lost another legend purely for greed and jealousy....fucking sick bastard.

  • So I forgot then was 2001 .. Thanks buddie

  • this song makes me so depressed and sad... and while listening to it i would cry because i would imagine if i were to die how anybody that cared about me would react to it. especially my girlfriend.. i think of her when i hear this.

  • Did your girlfriend die? If she didnt then appreciate life and dont let your feelings get to you. I think the saddest way to go was Laynes way, nobody can beat that. If I was aware of Laynes situation back at that time I would do everything in my power to get him clean. It was an extremely unnessary blow to music and now we've all payed for it. Now we have to live on with life, thats all you can do. And remember the legacy of Layne Staley. It's a damn shame too.

  • no she didnt.. but, this song just makes me imagine the possibilities of what could happen. if i were to die, how devastated she would be. i cant stand to see her like that. but yea about layne, i grew up listening to alice in chains and when my dad told me layne died, i... i didnt even know how to react. he has the best voice without a doubt. and knows how to create emotion and meaning through music. R.I.P.

  • dude, you have a very emo reaction to the song. they were grunge, not emo.

  • no i know theyre not emo. i just think the song is sad, thats all. i just kinda got into detail with that comment, lol srry. i was just realy in a sad mood when i found this vid. srry.

  • feindishtheclown, dont feel bad for getting sad about this song... thats why its a good song, that people like us can grasp the meanings and apply it to our life. miss you layne.

  • The video it looks like 911 9/11/2002

  • Um 911 happened 9/11/2001 not in 2002 buddy.

  • this is truly an amazing upload . great art corresponding with a great song , with the Greatest singer . I agree AIC has been A godsend I have been in recovery for about 5 years now, an Laynes music has helped me find some solace in my times of hurt . this is one of those songs that reeally can well up a tear , epecially if you know Laynes story. Layne Lives!!

  • thanks

  • this song gets me every single time, always makes me sad and think about certain times in my life... great lyrics and music!

    good video, coldfire!

    layne, you are missed...

  • thank you once again ARMS, and thanks for your amazing uploads that you found.

  • did u make this video your self? cuz i have the aic video collection dvd and this isnt on it.. its god stuff though!!!!!!

  • dude...thank you. coldfire, i got much love for you man. AIC is like blues is for some ppl, music about life...thank you so much for putting this up. nice icon btw!

  • no problem

  • do they play this live? I love this song, lyrics and solos

  • no i wish they did :/

  • i liked it very much. My favorite band too. nice shots! who´s the owner of the pictures??

  • Cantrell is god.

  • he has some sick solos

  • "you will rarely hear on the radio" are you serious? Maybe you don't hear them on the radio because you don't listen to the radio. Alice In Chains is one of the most played bands on rock stations, even to this day. They may be a gem, but they aren't "hidden." And they are not underrated by any means... if you find an example, let me know.

  • Ok maybe I overexadurated. I rarely hear aic on the radio because its always bombarded with new(music)shit. Yes they were underrated(for their time). About only 200 or so people went to Layne Staley's funeral. Kurt Cobain had about 10000 people at his funeral. Look at the difference. Only 3 kids in my school knew who Alice in Chains were. Maybe whatever radio station you listen to overplay AiC, but very few people i know have heard of Alice in Chains.

  • i live in seattle and the stations play aic like every day and more than nirvana

  • They are played alot, but alice in chains are really underrated, they had them at #34 best rock bands all time when they should of been in the top 10 to 15. The music they made was real unlike half the bands that were ahead of them.. And the bands ahead of aic on this top 100 list didn't have half the talent aic had and still has

  • i agree

  • Amazing song

    Amazing Band

  • you got that right!
