it's really odd how some ppl crash, it only takes like 100ms of an improper placement/pressure of the steering/throttle/brake to make or not make an incident of failure.. so analyzing video like this.. when if u were in the same situation would not crash.. u would know what to do.. but in logic visualization mind mode.. like typing on a keyboard without thinking, is impossible
@d68west if by better handling you mean understeer... Yes. the ap1 oversteers off the bat, but what happens when you try to over correct understeer (heavy braking in the apex) you get the rear end uncontrollably loose. But judging by the carpet I would say ap1 the bezel almost looks black which was on the ap2 but can easily be put on an ap1, I think people do it for the black and something about the climate control but I can't remember, I should hopefully have my s2k soon, ap2 due to financing.
This is why I think the first thing potential racers should learn is how to deal with "drift-like" situations. This could have been EASILY avoided without that huge over-correction.
you can tell this guy has no experience racing a car. Not that I am a 100% pro. But once you begin to tail whip like this you DO NOT turn the wheel the other direction other wise the energy that was exerted will cause a whip lash affect and you will spin backwards as he did here. All the had to do is ride the small skid out with minimal turning of the wheel and he would have been fine.
@jackjacktj Most times I think the person reacts too late, decides to countersteer as that's just your instincts kicking in but by that stage it's too late.
@jackjacktj I don't think at the angle and speed he went into that corner, he would have been able to ride out the 'small skid'. S2000 are notorious for their 'snap oversteer' and i reckon he would've lost control either way. my 5cent anyway.
