How can someone dislike this magnificent tribute to the best Sherlock Holmes of all-time? I believe one must be Moriarty itself. But the other one? Overwhelming. This is an awesome video and Jeremy deserves our respect.
This video is nothing less than remarkable. Such feeling, such conveyance of emotion and appreciation for someone who obviously touched and inspired you. I loved him as Sherlock Holmes. Thank you for sharing this. I must admit it brought me to tears. But his legacy is alive, his acting, these wonderful bodies of work are his mark left behind for us continue to be inspired by. As inspiring as this amazing tribute to one of the true greats, Jeremy Brett. Thank you!
You know, the Jeremy Brett community seems to have dwindled in the last few months. I have done all I can to keep his memory alive, but I seem to be a lonely voice in the greater scheme of things.
@aswansongofmine I remember Jeremy Brett everyday for the wonderful man he was, beautiful in spirit and talented! In the hearts of those people who love and admire him he will never be forgotten! So long as we're the ones who always remember him, he will live on forever in the hearts of his family, friends, and fans! God bless you Jeremy!

This is one of the most beautiful short films I have seen. Great choice of music and so good to see the later Holmes films used which you rarely see in fanvids. And, yes, it made me cry as well. Wonderful work Rebecca.
One of the greatest actors who ever lived. He graced the screen with such beauty, and you captured it very well in this artistic video. Jeremy shall always be remembered for his brilliance and grace.
this man was one of the greatest actor's I have had the prevlidge to see.. wish there was more of him...was his death sudden? here in America I am sorry I did not know of this wonder man........love his movies I am allowed to see tho..and will continue to look for them... thanks so much for a glimps of him........sighsssssssssss
wow, thank you Rebeccawilde, for such a wonderful, containing pure magic video about the great great Jeremy Brett. You' re a true fan of him. Looking him aged in this video really makes me sad.
This made me cry. I really love Jeremy and I think that he was a wonderful person. Really really sad. I grew up watching him as Sherlock Holmes. Miss him. Thank you for making this wonderful video.
How superb, a very moving tribute to a fantastic actor thank you. I am looking for the name of an episode of SH played by Brett where Watson has been writing a book. In the closing scene Watson finishes his reading of the book and Sherlock not wanting to hurt Watsons feelings gives a cloaked but kind comment, do you recall this episode? Thanks again Richard
@richardd2063 Hi I don't know if you have found the name of the Sherlock Holmes title you were looking for but I think it's the brilliant The Copper Beaches
thank you, the video came right from the heart, so your comment means a lot. as does everyone's who takes the time to comment. hope you are having a good day. :-)
The Sherlock Holmes series never made it to the shores of Singapore so I got them from UK. I believe ACD can foresee the future - he crafted Sherlock Holmes exactly with Jeremy Brett in mind =) I love love love Jeremy Brett and I know he is up there watching us with his intense eyes as always. We'll remember you always, Jeremy.
rebecca you have made many brilliant and moving videos but the beauty of this one just knocked me out- Even though I never met Jeremy (I was six when he passed away) I still feel a profound loss and pain. I wish I could have met him.
I thought I'd viewed every programme, but I am unable to place the scene from 1:43-2:00. From which episode does it spring? All me buds are equally flumoxed!
It's a scene from the Eligible Bachelor. Holmes returns to Baker Street after walking throughout the night to find he's lost his keys. He discovers the door is open and Mrs Hudson inside, having retrieved the keys from the lock where he'd left them the night before.
Tears. Real, heartfelt, raw, emotional tears are running down my face after watching this video. And for that I can only thank you - and, of course, Jeremy.
Brett accompanied my journey to adulthood. I'll never forget evenings spent in 1990 watching Brett as Holmes and sharing a few beers with a good friend as we pondered what it meant to be a man - thanks Jeremy for the inspiration and example.
So sublimely beautiful. I still have it as a favourite from last time. Especially like the bit at the end when a meditating Jeremy appears in the clouds. Jeremy never really left us. As long as there are people who love and remember him he will live forever in our hearts and minds. xx Jane
My dear friend! This is a beautiful video, and you´ve touched my heart with it! I understand you, really I do!! And I hope he is always there for you, but I´m sure he is!! Nobody could help so wonderful in times when we are down, and he is with us, especial in hard times, however! And my friend, he also brought us all together here at YouTube, isn´t it so?! I wish you all the best, and in my thoughts I´m with you!! Hope you understand my horrible English ;-)!!!
This made me cry...but it was so beautiful...and PyroCLastik, I like what you said..."His business in this earth is quite finished." He moved on, because it was his time...
Too true (I myself have a fear of death not so much for myself but having loved ones (the few I have) taken away. Though one mustn't think of someone like Jeremy as having his life cut short. Yes it was but he did a lot with the life he had on this moral earth. More than many of us get to do. He also touched lives. It's not how long one lives that matters. It's how one lives.
it was lithium salt, he was on a far higher dose than he should have been. His body retained a lot of water which put strain on his already strained heart (which is why he looks quite fat in later Sherlock episodes).
bravo rebecca......well done....a nice video with the beautiful voice of loreena.......we truly miss mr.brett.......he must be in heaven smoking his pipe now.......
I was browsing for Sherlock Holmes videos and saw the title "Please Remember Me..." I thought, "It couldn't be the Loreena McKennitt song!" But within the first few notes I knew it was and sat to watch.
You've done a wonderful job. This is a very beautiful and very moving video.
it's very beautiful and touching. You choosed pictures from the last films (which are not often selected), when Jeremy was very ill and near death. you were right: it's a time were he would have needed to be supported, and on the contrary, he was crucified by english press. you've schown that he was great and worth admiration till the end.
'Bravo,' as Jeremy would say. This is a beautiful video and so very touching. Adding the sea and clouds really made it for me. But most of all the final scene. I have always loved that scene because Jeremy meditated like that at home and that scene always reminds me of Jeremy as Jeremy rather than Sherlock. I was going to attempt a similar video with the same scene, but you have done it and I could not have done any better. Well done and thank you.
I am, quite honestly, blown away by this video. It is so touching and so beautifully poignant that...there are really no words to describe the genius of this work. Brava and I think it is a wonderful tribute to Jeremy Brett.
Rebecca, just had to watch this again today of all days. Although today it has so much more poignancy and makes me a bit sad it is such a moving tribute I just had to leave you another comment. Amazing that JB although gone from this world still brings people together through his wonderful talent and terrific spirit! One of the best JB videos on here.
This is just about avsolutely WONDERFUL, and goes straight into my favorite list. Wow, such a labour of love - so touching and lively, a perfect homage to THE man Jeremy. Long live the king... and also, it is lovely that you made it having to fight against so many technical difficulties and came through anyway with something so beautiful, just the kind Jeremy would've loved, and the Emerson quotation is just SO true! Having tangible feelings for people who died more than 200 years ago, I agree!
PS - felt compelled to comment again; loving the sequence of him ascending the stairs against the cloudscapes.....really powerful, very spiritual. Beautiful.
Wow, a very fitting tribute. I'm positive Jeremy is smiling because of it.
I love the use of the Loreena McKennit song. I saw her perform live once, at the very beginning of her career. She was beautiful, and her astounding voice is as wonderful for real as it is on a CD.
Oh, and one more thing: This is not only a wonderful tribute of a devotee. It is even not only a nice peace of work. It is art. Maybe you should consider to take a little peek into that profession? (You should know that I am not to be found among the flatteres giving compliments away that easily...)
Rebecca, wonderfully put together and achingly moving. I will watch this again on 12th (I have the day off work) during my Brettfest day with my new set of Sherlock DVDs. Lovely tribute.
I could say many things, but simply, 'thank you for this beautiful vid to our darling Jeremy'. He lives on for all time.. Beautiful, my friend, beautiful! ^_^
He (Jeremy) is still "giving" from beyond. He was an amazing tormented soul in life, and remains an inspiration in spirit. This video honors this with clarity. Well done.
Well what is there NOT to say about this tribute. You never fail to disappoint! This was simply stunning and beautiful and so heartfelt. As to JB he will ALWAYS be remembered. Thank you for such a moving tribute.
Serenely warm, comforting, touching and dazzlingly beautiful. Another sad sweet song. Dear Jeremy. Death is a doorway to Eternity. Yes, he's around and touching our lives, helping us through this troubled world as one who understands suffering. I think he's our saint, a true guardian angel.
I'm glad you liked it. I had a lot of tears in my eyes making it, but I felt a need to make the video. Jeremy doesn't have a grave to lay flowers at or visit, having been cremated and the details about what happened after are private. I often think how I wish I could "visit" where he was placed to rest. This was my small way of laying flowers (which was one f the reasons I used a rose at the end/ that and being symbolic of a spiritual view point I have). Oh dear, I suddenly feel upset. :(
*shed tears* It is so beautiful, and beautiful is very poor word... It is one the best video on YT ever and by you... it is so sad, but beautiful sad, and I feel that someone thrust throught my heart, but I feel love and sadly happy, that I can be his fan :-) *cry my heart out*
How can someone dislike this magnificent tribute to the best Sherlock Holmes of all-time? I believe one must be Moriarty itself. But the other one? Overwhelming. This is an awesome video and Jeremy deserves our respect.

He (Jeremy) is still "giving" from beyond. He was an amazing tormented soul in life, and remains an inspiration in spirit. This video honors this with clarity. Well done.

Nice memories. I visited second time the Sherlock Holmes Museum in London last August and it was wonderful to be there again.
