No, it's completely free open source. Since I can't put websites here just type audacity in google and it will show up.

It's simple. Add the plug-ins.

There are filters in there that will let you cut certain noise frequencies[such as line noise] and help you punch up other frequencies. If you go to the vid I did on demands--the line noise was horrid--I edited it out.
