Cool-cool sound, now I know it is from the open tuning - G tuning means here from low e string to high e string: d, g, d, g, h, d. As the only strings you do not have to change are in the middle section, Richards could use two "normal" finger settings to reach this incredible riff harmonies. I needed a couple of minutes to find out the tuning, then 15 minutes to think and watch and copy - and then I realize how Richards found this by moving his lazy fingers up and down the new. Ingenious!!!
very nice jammin with ya! it's my favorite tune. check out delbert mcclinton and his stone-influenced offerings. hardly anyone didn't like their backbeat.
Amazing execution. When I saw you playng, i tale my guitar(years in the box), amd restsrted to play!!! Congratulations. Im from brazil and will buy some videos. Thanx
@MrTwangyGuitar Dude you are amazing. You hit every note perfectly and the video quality is also amazing. Great job and double great job for doing almost all my favorite songs by Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Rolling Stones, BOT, Chuck Berry, CCR and Steppenwolf!!
I don't know how I found you but I have been watching everything you do and have put out. Your an absolutely superb musician and Youtube has been graced with your talent.
Thank you very much for the inspiration. I have messed around with open tunings (trying to do Ry Cooder stuff) for years but this has given me a new mission. We are all very much in your debt. Keep up the good work.
Amazing how easy this song is to play once someone shows you! First time playing with open G and LOVE IT! Pretty much the heart of the stones right in that tuning!
I'm pretty much hooked! Gotta pick up you entire set of DVD's
Thats about close as you can get really without being Keith himself lol! Its kinda simple but its the subtle nuances in the rhythm that make it sound the way it does.
Greatest cover i ever seen !!! You totally got Keith's guitar feeling, you're (I'm trying never to say that but here I cannot say something else) AWESOME !! :-D
Great.. everything. Yo can even do kind a Karaoke with it jaja .. imagine yourself on a big screen wearing some funny white mickey-mouse gloves ... That would be Magic !
@MrCeej9999 I read a interview with Keith where he said all you need to play like him was "5 strings, 3 fingers, and 1 A******." What he failed to mention was that its really in the right hand rhythm. Thats what gives his playing the vibe.
Oh, how cool! You're my hero (joke, joke). Wish we could have had your instruction decades ago, but better late than never. Keep it up & maybe we won't have so many beginners burning out.

@winterlandboy - Keith may have said that but that's a bunch of bullshit. You'd have to know which tuning the guitar is in order to play it. Different tunings call different fingerings
@MyTwangyGuitar Yes of course it's bullshit.I Not that he said that to me in reply to a question, but it was just a Keith Richards throw away line..something he's known for when he's had a few glasses of fizzy bottled water.. or whatever.Just an anecdote that at the time was amusing.
