noob... is not easy if u made it by urself like i did, if u bought man... u can't tell "is not easy"... rofl check my channel and see how make 1 in ur home XD
Well, superscale it, add an electric motor attached to spinning weights, and power the motor by via close-to-development-stage magnetic electricity transference and you'll have perpetual-ish motion. By the way, how the frag does it work?
with some more magnets, placed at the sides where the levitron is when it reached its highest point, couldnt it be done anyhow that it wont stop spinning, when it takes the energy of the spinning effect than direct from these at side placed megnets? maybe it has to be worked out but theoretically it could work no?
i have a levitron, and it is really hard to get. i get a good spin on it and then it veers off to the side. after that i raise the hieght of that one side or add more weight, but it still doenst seem to work.
Thanks for the comment. The little top spins very rapidly and acts a lot like a gyroscope. The only gyroscope I have weighs a lot more than the top and would not be supported by the magnetic force. We're lucky to get this little top stable and levitated.
i can teach u HOW build 1 by yourself XD check my channel

Check the website. There's some serious physics at work here. Thanks for the question.

What your referring to is called "perpetual motion". It doesn't exist yet.
JoeVSvolcano 3 years ago
perpetual motion has been proven false no? any scientist that would suggest such a system would (and is) be ridiculed

of course it falls, when the spinning stops, loses balance, and theya go.

Oh, don't give up. It takes lots of practice.

if you move the base really slowly will the top move with it?
Benlew112358 4 years ago
Hey, that's an interesting question. I think it would fall, but this should be tested. Has anyone tried?
toulp 4 years ago
ya, but unless your REALLY careful, one side might get lifted and it will fly away and become a runaway top!
fundash 3 years ago
hey.... how cool would it be to set up a toy gyroscope to somehow spin inplace of the the little top, can you do it for us?

try to move the base from underneath the top and see what happens. Show me the vid of it too.
Durtbiker 4 years ago
Dude, Take away the base and the top falls unless you tie a string to it. I think the base is needed.
toulp 4 years ago
the base is needed because the base has magnets in it to keep it in the air

Its hard to keep that stable. That was really great..now if we can a way to make an artificial field we could make flying cars!!!

is there magnet under the thing?i mean levitron...
mousavi007 5 years ago
Yep. The spinning top is a magnet and there's a magnet in the base.
toulp 5 years ago
what is the use of it other than being cool to look at?
Loserfaces 5 years ago
Use? It floats. Sometimes. For a little while.

Utility? Utility??? It's just so cool.
It also teaches a little physics.

very cool.

It's a Levitron. Magnets push it higher and gravity pulls it lower. Check out the blog site for more info.
