  • i heard this song in a video about wow achivements but when this song came i didn't care of the video, beacuse i began to search this song.

  • Seriously, where is music like this today in our video games.

Orchestrated is nice, but I want this!

  • Kiiiiiiiiiicks ass!

  • BANG YA HEAD!!!!!!!!!!

  • This level sucked. I always crashed into shit.

  • Where can I buy/download the full soundtrack? It's awesome!

  • @DrSpychology khinsider.con has the album for d/l.

Sorry for the typo. Youtube doesn't like URLs

  • @crapstirrer thanks, gonna check it out

  • raaaah this boss, nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, that fucking butterfly boss ! but the best music stage on thunderforce IV, wich it's my favorite shoot'em'up with "life's focre:salamander" on NES

  • Truly this is the world's strongest metal

  • Always having some trouble with this stage because I'm headbanging so hard.

  • thw composer just discovered that the fm soundchip also has real sound effects like guitar stored in it,s database.

so they were not forced to allway's to use the digital soundchannel for real soundeffects.

but digital soundchips can also have their soundeffects stored on it.

the only real difference between fm and digital sound is that fm saves alot of power etc,,,,but it sound can be noisy, but even that can be reduced with awesome rocky music sound like this.

  • what the fuck. this is the first ive ever heard of the game, it sounds more badass than 2 t-rexes with beards going at one another with chainsaws on motorcycles

  • @tIs4gatorbait Best comment I read in a while.

  • whoa that song I pop up the link and shiittt that Midi sound from hell

  • Amazing what these wizards were capable of with such limitations. What happened? Why the hell does most modern videogame sountracks disappear from memory so fast?

  • HEY! I uploaded a video about this exact song glitching up! It's pretty funny! Please check it out!

  • One person doesn't know that Genesis does what Nintendon't.

  • thunderforce music is to capslock what capslock is to lowercase.

  • *Intro starts*

Oooh, i think i just jizzed in my pants.

  • thank you jit (from gametabs), this song is FUCKING EPIC!!!!!!!!!

  • Without putting zero life in the option screen (That gives you 99) I could never, ever ever beat that game. When you hear that song, you know you're in for a hell of a light speed play. BTW I agree it's the best song of the whole game. I taped it when I was... what? 10 yo! Time flies...

  • @Abenkin hahaha, that only works in the US version.

Doing that in the Japanese one really gives you 0 extra lives XD

  • ja man verdammt hab ich das lied in dem game geliebt der hammer!!!

  • i'm definitely gonna fight dbz tenkaichi 3 with this

  • Best use of z80 I have ever heard.I consider this the best Genesis has to offer.Outstanding.

  • Game companies nowadays are so focused on graphics details, texture qualities, and blah blah blah that they forget mostly the others aspects, especially in audio. It's hard to find memorable game themes such this one nowadays

  • This is why the 90's and down kicked so much more ass than today.

  • Audio quality sort of hurts my ears, but I don't really care. Still a cool song, especially for it's time.

  • one of my most fav video game tracks of all time...I spent many hours listening to this masterpiece

  • This is the part when the game cranked up the difficulty, but the song made it seem like you could conquer it, wouldnt be easy, it'd be a hell of a fight, but it just pumped you up so much!!!!

  • best videogame song ever i think

  • best video game music of all time IMOA

  • @immrrossy I AGREE

  • This song is pure awesome, overshadows all the other songs in the game.

  • this one song has cemented itself as everyones downright fave BGM in all of TF4... myself included!!! it just REEKS OF UNQUESTIONABLE BADASS!!!

  • the magedrive has actual 10 soundchannels and could be used simultineously.

2 channels could be even used as digital channel 1 4bit dac and 1 8bit dac.

the rest are only fm capable.

similar to the gba wich has 1 digital 4biit dac and 2 8bit dac channels, the other 3 are only fm capable, asswell the gba has 6 sound channels.

annyway sound on both systems are amezing!!!!

  • This song is so good! \m/ O.o \m/

  • very good song !!

  • Electric Eye from Judas Priest

  • I like this song too much. . . I can play it on the piano and have made a remix of it on the nintendo DSi's Rytmik application. . .

  • The only game ever where i've found out a cheat. Just trying how long you can keep your ship alive with the monitor out. By a mistake i changed the max lives to zero and tadaaaaaa i becomes a 99 lives. And i played and played just thinking "damn how many lives got this thing?". Pfffffff Stupid eh?

  • @blitzksr6 damn if only l knew that back then, this game used to torture me as a kid; l'd always used to get owned by stage 8.

  • Oh shit, this music is rocking. I wonder how good this game is. Never heard of it.

  • @gunswordfist If you like shoot em ups then this is for you. Its one of the best in the genre in my opinion.

  • @ZombieToaster Thanks man! I'll be sure to check it out.

  • @gunswordfist You can't go wrong!

(Call me an old-ass 2D gamer or a fanboy, but I never liked any other game as much as this one!)

  • @jbmaru then that makes us both old-ass 2D gamers and/or fanboys!(LOL)

cause of my whole MD library, this is "the one that doesn't catch dust"(aka the one I play most often after coming from work)

  • @triplestar100 Lol I'm not alone then, thanks

  • @gunswordfist Instant classic for the genesis/mega drive.

  • my favourite song too

  • song is the best in the whole game

  • they shut have to recreate the doom songs on thw 32x by using those guitar instruments from thunder force 4.

  • are you chinboko?

  • yeah!

  • aww freakin epic! big props tronman! my fave song outta the whole game! ive scoured all corners of the internet for this soundtrack, you gotta tell me how you got it!

  • yeah i really like this song as well

  • Epic!

  • hey TronmanZ, where did you get those soundtracks because i can't find them

  • the music in this version is just more better then with the vrc7 chip,as the guitar sounds much more solid than on the vrc7 chip, either they,re just good.

it,s still incredible to push such incredible sound out of a fm soundchip.

  • wat

There was no Thunder Force IV on Famicom, and the VRC7 was used exclusively in Lagrange Point.

  • There is a VRC7 convertion of this sounttrack:
