No, It plays with the same amount of air, and plays exactly like a regular single tenor bone. The sound and air is divided between the bells and since in the end, the instrument is the same length, it wont use more air.
@davdud101 it divides it tho it sounds close to the same because it doesnt have to cut any air off, so its basically just wasted brass except 4 the fact that it looks cool.
Seems like someone had some extra parts laying around. No practical application to this.
