The Bushmaster technical term for their civilian M4 is the XM-15 carbine. The M4A2/ A3 is a military term many people and manufacturers use. I own a Stag Model 1 which is an M4A3. Go to Bushmaster's website and the call it an M4 Type, but civilian receivers and boxes all state XM-15. This is what I have noticed from selling Bushmaster rifles for 3 years now.

Stags are the best(and pretty much the only) left hand rifles....I personally love Stag arms, although of I was a right handed person i'd probably go with a DPMS.
I do recommend a Stag Arms. It isn't as expensive as some of the other company's and the product is just as good if not better. I have had no problems with it what so ever.
It's tight. There is next to no play between the upper and lower receiver. I still stand by my decision with the purchase of the Stag Arms.

how is the stag play wise? it there alot of movment between the recevers? are they tight??

Being in the army for so long, I refuse to say AR15... He is right though, it's not an M4.

M4A1 is select fire. Not all Colt M4's are select fire dude.

Thanks, but I ended up with a DPMS AP4 Cabine instead. That also seems to be a good gun. I only put 100 rounds through it so far.
BTW, for about $850 I got a brand new gun, gun case, 2 30 round mags, cleaning kit, and sling.
