@hugzzzzzz1 Everything the others have said, plus, if you notice when the cascade is happening, the flicker effect isn't as long. Not from the engine, but I guess that's because they were probably scared of giving seizures from it or something (never seen any complaints from it before, but graphics DID get better by then and they could make a "teleport" effects with a lot more style. Why they didn't use the HL2 portal effect, I'll never know).

Play Blue Shift, and you'll know what I mean. You are Barney in Blue Shift, and you'll see Gordon passing by in the train on Half-Life (without exspansions).

I just started this game yesterday, and for some reason I cannot push that thing holding the specimen. It seems like it should be as simple as moving forward against it, but it won't move. I have tried different button combinations while moving against it, but nothing will make it move. I know that this is a basic part of the game, but I am not sure why this is not working. Could someone pelase help?

The have the same gameplay basically, half life source has a physics engine, and its remastered to look less pixelated. Its only 5 bucks more, and the physics really make a difference.

Half Life source failed to use ragdoll physics thats also a dissapointment. That's why they're making a mod for half life (to the second power) called Black Mesa source with the redone models and most of the source engines capabilites

Yeah, like the other guy said, it uses the Source engine, which means sharper graphics, more attractive blood and bullet holes, rag doll physics and better sound quality.

If you ever have to choose which version of Half Life to purchase, I would definitely recommend Source.

But.... hls deathmatch is unbalanced (mp5 grenade in face = death, deathmatch of original hl1 is more balanced) and hls is really easier, I killed last boss before he teleported me, in hl1 he teleported me two times.

HL1 uses GoldSource and HL2 uses Source. If the makers of the mods want to make a source version of the mod, then it will work with any source engine game. (HL2,TF2,CSS) Also, its hard to convert GoldSource maps to Source because of the diferent engines. Hope that helps. :)
