Not in the United States my european friend. Volvo trucks in the United States use a variety of engines, including a Cummins ISX, Detroit Diesel, Mercades, or a volvo engine. The engine in this truck sounds like a Detroit Diesel Series 60, but i may be wrong.

If this truck operated in Sweden, or any other part of Europe, then it might just run a Volvo engine, but the drivers, and the trucking companies here in the U.S. choose the engines they use in their fleet

on the contrary, engines are tested under extreme conditions and revving them cold is one of the tests, so they oughta be able to withstand it.

cant rev it when its a cold start. it'll stall out and may not start again.

my dad has a volvo truck 2005. with the Volvo motor 400 somthing hp. when we were buying some body told us that this truck come in another motor, but its not good i for got the name. volvo motors are green that one was red.

Man I had a Volvo 670 with Knight and they sold it and gave me a pete 387, Ive been trying to get back in my Volvo ever since, I loved that truck
