In college I learned Quark but thanks to your video I see how similar InDesign is. I feel a little more confident now just incase future clients specify InDesign. Alternating back and forth shouldn't be too much of a problem. Thanks for the quick video! Really helps!

@happygamestvfun1 That's precisely the point of InDesign, actually. It's not for editing/playing with images, and that's why there are separate programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and Fireworks.

This all what InDesign is about? Just frames and pasting your work to dimensions and so forth. Cant you do this all in Photoshop? Dont understand why Graphic Designing employers dont hire elite Photoshop users if they dont know InDesign. Simple nonsense program in my opinion but what do I know. Good tutorial by the way.

knowing photoshop wont make you a graphic designer!!!! not even knowing well indesign..... theres alot behind.... plus photoshop is great for image, flayers and creating pages or spreads but in my opinion and I work with indesgn, I will never create a 200 pages book on plane photoshop.... plus how can you send it to have it printed???? plus let say i finish the 150 page magaine project but the client dont like

the fonts of all body text of all the 150 pages??? there are features that helps you to just select the font and it will automaticly change the font on all the pages..... plus lets say that you made all those little page number at the button of the page plus your client forgot a full page anounsment that goes on page 40, how will you change the page number on the rest of the pages fast???? indesign makes that job for u..... plus corporate printers print pages in multiple of 4 pages

Yeah I DON'T agree that you always need drop shadows. fail. But other than that it's nice to see a really basic view of someone else's workflow in a fast paced overview. There's always a couple little things I learn when watching another person use programs.
