  • Didn't Alabama finish that season at 6-5?

  • Sam Cunnigham was the Jackie Robinson of college football, and Mckay was the equivalent of Branch Ricky..

  • Bear Bryant would not let Alabama native Conredge Holloway compete for the QB position in this time frame, so that 1970 USC-Bama game is overhyped at the least, especially considering the fact that USC's qb was an African American in that game.

  • It looks like the National Association for the Advancement of Communist Propaganda and the Southern Propaganda-Laden Center have done their work well. When young Southerners are equating segregation to racism, you know this generation, state, and nation is screwed.

  • NOT TRUE! Maybe it ended at Alabama which was always behind AUBURN in such matters. Auburn intergrated it's football program by signing Fairfield's James Owens in Dec. 1968. See video of him returning a punt 89 yds TD at Florida in Oct 1970, a month after Sam Bam killed Bama in Birmingham..

Sorry dude, just because Bama fans tell a lie over and over doesn't make it true and that is the case here. Schools such as VY, KY, UT and AUBURN had already signed black players before this game.NICE TRY!

  • @tygbro We are talking about UAT, not AUTURD!

  • @tygbro USC by and large, helped integrate black players into the SEC. Didn't you watch the HBO special, "Breaking the Huddle, The Integration of College Football?"

  • the faggot below me is a usc fan.

  • @RussellState The game that saved the BEAR's job at UAT!!!!

  • @RussellState You have blessed to be addressed by the great and wise GREYMOOSE of USC!

  • This was the game where John McKay saved Bear Bryant's job at UAT.
