  • ouch!!! I have to have this procedure in ten days and I am scared to death! I have no choice since I can hardly walk and have been in pain for almost two years. I am so sick of cortisone injections and splints I will try anything to get relief but jeez this looks scary!

  • jesus christ i have this procedure in 9 days from now. the guys out cold and his foot is still writhing in pain. ima siissyyyboy fuck me im scared

  • @spitefulspear

How are you feeling now? Did the procedure hurt? Can you walk? I have to have this in ten days and I am scared to death!

  • @120darbe well, too be honest. i was more scared of being put under than anything. you just gotta pray everything will be allright=). the surgery went ok. my feet are sore. feels a bit like a bad bad bad bruise. i thought i would be able to walk on my tip toes but thats out the window. im one footed for a month till i do the other foot. all in all....the procedure went perfectly and theres minimal pain. with the lortabs they gave me of course=))) good luck!

Thanks so much for the update. It is reassuring to talk to someone who has had this done recently. I have a huge fear of anesthesia also.I've been put under several times but never have gotten over the fear. Fortunately I only have to have one foot done. Well I hope you can walk again soon. Good luck to you also and thanks again =)

  • I had this done in 08-still the same pain afterwards. After a year of continuous cortisone shots in the foot and orthotic inserts and shoes, nothing helped. Doc told me there is nothing he can do and i left, never to return..2 1/2 years later-the pain had been so severe, going into my ankles, up my leg, around my back and down to the other foot. I decided to see another doc. He had me try phys. therapy, and a back spec. I am in a cast now, it still hurts and I want my heel spurs removed! Advice?

  • had both my feet done at the same time

  • My Doctor Tritto at GBMC in Baltimore is da bomb. havent started running yet, cause I had the pain for so long. i have to get my body use to doing some things again and at 41 u really have to wake some things back up. so far so good. GOOD LUCK

  • i had everything done to fix my feet, the injections,PT, and tape. I finallygot the sugery and so glad that i did. i got it done on Sept 12th and it is now Oct 20th and so far i have started P90X workout, on my 4th day and no pain in my feet. a little sore where they cut but really no pain at all.

  • I been 2 years and have done every trick in the book. I have a great doc. The orthodics fixed my left foot but right has extra damage that will not stretch out. I am going for it. This is disgusting I thought I was going to puke. But after the fact glad I got to see it. Before running straight to steroids I strongly suggest taping, stretching & orthodics. And not OTC most insurance will pay a portion for a Diagnoised Plantar fascitits.

  • I had a steroid injection in the posterior tibial nerve even after I visit a neurologist that told me " everything is mechanical, there is nothing wrong with the nerves". After the injection should I find some releif if it's the nerve that is causing heel pain? If I don't get any releif after the injection, then we are 100% sure that I have plantar fasciitis? Thank you doc

  • I HAD MY SURGERY IN APRIL IT'S BEEN 13 WKS NOW AND I STILL FEEL SOME PAIN RIGHT OVER MY INCISION MY DR TOLD ME TO MASSAGE IT SO THAT NO SCAR TISSUE WILL DEVELOPE AND I AM DOING THAT BUT IDK IF THE SURGERY WAS REALLY WORTH IT . I WAS ALSO TOLD TO STAY OFF IT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE SO THAT IT WON'T HAPPEN TO THE OTHER FOOT. BUT THAT'S KIND OF HARD WHEN YOU HAVE TO BE ON YOUR FEET AT WORK. IT DOESN'T HEAL IN SIX WEEKS LIKE THEY TELL YOU.

  • Had my EPF two days ago. The pain keeps me from walking although the Dr. did say she wants me off my feet as much as possible till I return in 2 days for the f/up. I am reading everyone's comments and now realize this is not going to be a cakewalk. But I had little choice. My job requires a lot of walking on uneven ground and climbing roofs, which was aggravating my foot. Now I am concerned whether I will be able to return to normal duties in 6 weeks. Afraid of loosing my job now!

  • I had this surgery on both my left foot (2007) and right foot (2011). Took about 1 month to walk without pain. ....and maybe 4 months to walk/run as normal

  • Im 5 months post EPF i still have a lot of pain all round the heel area. I would give it 2 more months, otherwise my doc told my that he might have to cut the whole fascia! I had a nerve conduction and all came up perfect.

  • Hey guys i ve had this for 3 yrs now, just had second cryo treatment. Tissue thickness has gone down to 7 mm from13 mm. What thickness were you at before the op. I ve still got pain and am running out of treatments .

  • I had this surgery 78 days ago, I still have pain when I'm on my feet for morenthan 2 hours, last week I took an MRI in both foot, everything came up perfect, including the fascia, next visit to the doc in Monday, let see what he says....

  • just had my right foot done this AM. can't say i feel much of anything other than a tight bandage and some numbness.

i've had the condition since '03. had shots, orthotics, nerve ablation, PRP therapy, shockwave therapy, physical therapy, topaz surgery. you name it, i've had it done. after exhausting all conservative options, finally came down to this.

really hoping for the best, but after nearly 8yrs with this, it's hard to believe that this will result in the ultimate cure.

  • @musclemenace I had mine done friday and trust me i know how you feel. I just want to get out of this boot. 2wks

  • @musclemenace Did this surgery help at all?

  • I had this surgery 6 weeks ago, still experiencing pain in the heel, I hope is the surgery pain. I can be on my feet for about two hours, I will write again in a week

  • Can this procedure actually remove heel spurs?

  • are feeling better i mean can you run and walk pain free??

  • week 5. First day back to work. Feet really sore. Having some pain on right outside foot that almost had me thinking stress fracture in the bone...but it is a bit better every day. Suture site has the most intense itching Ive ever felt and keeps me awake rubbing those areas with my toes. All told I would say that I still think this process is a better option to the pain I had but I underestimated the healing time quite a bit.

  • I just had this done 4 days ago. Recovering nicely. Feet were extremely sore first 3 days but seem a bit better every day. stitches are the most uncomfortable thing for me now. Theyre on both sides on the bottom and are really "pulling". Ithink they tighten as they heal or something. I just want to be one of those people who walk around without thinking about every single step........
