Outside the New York plaza is exactly where Robert Redford filmed the classic scene with Barbra Streisand from "The Way We Were" - this place is one of my first stops if ever I go to New York.....

the movie has a lot of heavy kissing--at least for 1967 this was intense. Fonda shows that Corrie Bratter wanted to kiss this guy all the time, and she couldn't get enough.

I wish girls in movies were like her.

@Kagomerocks316 Well you can do stage kissing...but I think Cory

is a sex addict. The play was produced in the early sixties, meaning that the characters had Fifties values and hangups. I think once Cory got a taste of kissing with Paul, then she came unglued. I hope you would play it as Cory can't get enough of Paul's lips any time, all the time.

Probably at the time, this was considered funny, but I still consider it way too sexy even for now.

@Cheryl1166 I used to work in film production, so I knew there must have been rehearsals of all the kissing. If there had been more angles on all the kisses, like a close up here and there, then the new set up would lead to more kissing. The Director, and me (the script supervisor) would need to see a practice from them to see if they were matching the other angles shot so far. Then I would have to say "um Jane, your mouth was wider before" So that would be real fun for everyone!

@powergirl901 I've heard that these kinds of scenes are never really fun for the actors, because of all the technicalities you mentioned.  Certainly would put a damper on things for most people, I think... I was just being silly, because I think Redford was gorgous at this age.... ;-)

@Cheryl1166 I wasn't on Twighlight but the actors seemed to have fun besides all the distractions. There are alot of continuity and technical things they have to remember besides their dialogue, but the really good actors just let it happen without much thought.

Here he looks a bit stiff, but in 1969, Redford looks, especially in the pictures taken off the set in his own clothes...he looks like a movie god. This was during the shooting of Butch Cassidy...

Fonda worked with him on other movies.
