zeplynrulz there really is no difference between a patch and an expansion. THEY ARE THE SAME. A patch FORCES you to download it. An EXPANSION lets you download it when you want, for a price. Lastly the reason I went to E3 is because I voulenteered to help them set up there stuff in there. Thats how I ended up playing Left 4 Dead 2.

a patch is when there is small glitches in the game and they patch it up and sometimes release new content with it an expansion is wel exactly what is sounds like it expands the game l4d2 is way to big to fit in a patch but it is an expansion because it doesnt add any new gameplay elements its new weapons and maps what does that sound like? opposing force, persus mandate any other expansion for any game they just decided to sell it as a full price game thats is lame

valve are all dicks,releasing a game not even ONE YEAR after it predorcesor just to make a quick buck,they promised DLC, all i saw was that shitty survival mode in which they added the following

-1 new map(yea,no full campeign,or nuthing,one fucking map)

-NO no infected.

-NO new weapons.

-All they did was convert pre-made maps into finales.

-And some crappy achievments to go along with the new mode,just to keep us occupied.

This videos made me fall out laughing. If Valve doesn't want to release content then they don't half to. I don't remember them promising anything they didn't deliver, and if they did it was likely withheld because it did not fit with what they had created. Valve does pretty much everything for a reason, quit your ignorant whining. If you want to boycott something go for the GH and RB franchises, now those are rip offs. And don't forget Treyarch's grip on the CoD franchise either.

how do you know this isnt what they meant when they said "content add ons" sure valve has usually given free content, but you cant forget, valve is a business, and they want to make money. Survival Mode and the two extra versus maps would have been a plentiful amount of content if it were any other game. Valve is just trying to give its fans what they thought they wanted; more of what everyone liked so much. Left 4 dead 2 will be just as good as Left 4 dead 1, and Valve should be able to make it

well it will be a mistake for valve there making it just like what happened to resident evil RE 4 was about survival (like l4d 1) and RE 5 was more action(l4d2 most likely) plus RE 4 had a dark background which made it more scarier just like L4D1 RE 5 and L4D2 have a light background which makes it less scary so there making the same mistake as capcom

wow, slow down for a bit and just think for a second. All the gameplay I've seen so far has had the emphasis on survival, not just action, but to be honest, the only thing l4d was missing was a little action. Valve has already stated that only some of the game is during the day and they only did that because of the setting. They wanted to make sure it got the south just right. Additions like new special infected, new campaigns, melee weapons, and incandecinary ammo will make this excellent.(imo)
