  • He's not bad at all, he's just playing it different. Personally, I do prefer the original better though.

  • Hora de dormir...Soñar no cuesta nada ......#Rolonon

  • Definitive, luis aquino is the best player about this theme. The player at this version would be embarrassed.

  • The trumpet player is very deficient, the song was damaged.

  • 2:57 to 3:37 Ric Fierabracci just \m/

  • I hate this trumpeter to destroy the song

  • I kinda like the tribute album more.. I like Luis Aquino's performance better.

  • Luis Aquino performance of this piece is much more beautiful tribute album

Latin musicians rules...

  • @cesarfausto yeah!

  • GRRRRRRR..THIS TRUMPET PLAYER MAKES ME NERVES...!!!

  • I PREFER THE VERSION OF TRIBUTE SHOW...MUCH BETTER CONCERNING TO THE TRUMPET PLAYER...THIS ONE IS NOT GOOD..THE OTHERS MUSICIANS ARE PERFECT..THEY TRIED TO OVERCOME THE BAD ACTING OF THE TRUMPET PLAYER!!!YANNI IS PERFECT...HE MUST HAVE BEEN MAD ABOUT THIS PERFORMANCE!!!

  • ESSA PERFORMANCE DO TROMPETISTA É INFERIOR À ORIGINAL DO SHOW TRIBUTE...NÃO SE COMPARA...ESSE NÃO TOCA BEM!!!...YANNI, COMO SEMPRE É PERFEITO!!E OS OUTROS MÚSICOS,MAS O PERFORMER DEIXOU A DESEJAR!!!

  • I like both versions. This resembles so much to original version from NIKI NANA album. This is cool an relax, tribute's plenty of energy and a little caribbean touch

  • i like the tribute version way better, but it was interesting to listen to another take on a song you really like.

  • if there were words to this piece of music @3:31 to @3:34 his bass is saying "I love you, I love you, I really really do"

  • I love Yanni....

  • He was exhausted. He left out a lot

  • waw, absolutely wonderful. this man is unbelievable

  • I noticed mistakes, too, but wonder if the average listener would. He and his orchestra are magnificent.

  • the same ,always the same,we need somthing new !stop repeating your self!! come on,you can do better than that...

  • stop being so pendantic about the slight mistakes, who cares? they're amazing, ming freeman is a beast!

  • even with the minor mistakes they are still fantastic musicians and yanni is a fantastic composer...wish i could get in on that orchestra

  • @Killerstereo

I agree with you.The trumpeteer messed it up big time.Even the keyboadist Ming Freeman messes it up.U can see it on yanni's face

  • this is embarasing

  • very good piano solo

  • Always loved this tune.. but it's painfully obvious the trumpet player never heard it before. This is a shame. Wish this all was on a DVD though but I guess it was before they started putting them on disc. Love that organ in the hall.

  • @Tinsby this is on a DVD that came with the Ethnicity album

  • where can i get this dvd??? please tellme!!

  • man LUIS AQUINO nailed this better than that guy whats w the gaps man he destroyed that trumpet solo! PUERTO RICO DOES IT BETTER!!! hahaha!

  • the piano solo's the best

  • @deathbombs Ming Freeman really played his heart out here as compared to the tribute version. This is Ming Freeman at his best. If only he played with the same passion here as in tribute, the tribute version would be one of Yanni's masterpiece.

  • who is the dude with the trumpet ?

  • @ultrameka a guy that dont know how to play a trumpet XD

  • i love this song but i dont like this version ... who is this trumpet i prefer to luis aquino i dont like this trumpet is so bad and the improvisation y very simple

  • 3:50 i love you Sarah O'Brien

  • again here, 10 people missed the like icon, no way

  • The trumpeter is obviously a jazzman. Great!

I always thought that the other solos were improvised...it seems that I was wrong.

  • @501W Luis Aquino is a jazz man too, this dude he simply moves to the beat and no play XD he cant do 2 things at the same time.

Luis can move play the trumpet and rock at it :P

  • Not as good as the Taj Mahal version in all respects

  • Exactly who was this guy?

  • @BarrelsPolesandJack His name is Ray Brown. I believe he's from the UK.

  • perfect

  • great, great, great

  • and man i love ric and ming for their awesome solos...theres nothing ive heard like them...

  • I would like to dance with you, Yanni, my favorite stranger.

  • Yanni should have make this guy play the Aquino´s version. It´s way better. \m/

  • @josuepuac , although its better, don't put down this man's version. Every one plays at different strengths, and speed. Yanni provided two different versions and each of those versions played in tune with the two trumpeter's styles. This is more of a Duke Ellington style-Jazz.

  • the version from this concert is very closer to the original from the album of 80's and the version of tribute is different.. two different versions are cool..

  • I recommend people to listen to the Original version of this song, it's on the album "Niki Nana"... It'll give you a different perspective on this guy's trumpet playing.

While I liked Aquino's version way better than this one... This guy is much more loyal to the original tune.

  • @pianojazzman heck i didn't even know that this song is a cover! Its still great none the less.

  • Yanni

  • true true...but this dude rock in general!!!

  • yeah he's good

  • The guy on the horn can't get over himself, he missed all of the starting points. Dude, just blow the horn. Bass player got it. Cello player got it. Piano man added more to it, nice. 2nd time for the horn player, he didn't hit that high note. I want my money back. Great song though. Taj Mahal version is the best one.

  • @trent730 I liked the "Tribute version better as well... Luis Aquino's trumpet playing is sublime...

The trumpet lines you listen here are closer to the original version that Yanni wrote and recorded on "Nikki Nana". I guess this trumpet player didn't get a chance to re-arrange the tune.

  • The song keeps wonderful, but I really preffer Luis Aquino playin'... He's perfect...

  • I agree... its really subjective, but Luis is more fluid

  • although I think Yanni wanted a different version of the song here, the whole song is less fluid - from all band members

  • When I first heard this version, I hadn't yet heard Luis playing...it sounds great as a really abstract piece.

But after hearing Luis' version, yes, this Royal Albert Hall version sounds incomplete and really bad in comparison.

  • Both pieces are equally great in their own respective ways. I don't know what mistakes you see, or other band member making expressions at the trumpet player, hahah?

  • Fantastic

  • excelente musica YANNI

  • The musicianship in this is out of this world. amazing. well done.

  • i think both the flavors of trumpets have their own magic. I love both. This one slowly and smoothly flows into you ...

  • Somebody please advise me how can I download this video?

I couldn't find it in VCD.

  • write download videos from you tube in google search, you will find something for sure!

  • This song is and always will be in my heart. Amazing composition.

  • Very beautiful music.......... Divinely!!!!!!!!

  • gah!! this black dude makes the song kind of dull!! i like the Tribute version SO much better. its what made me love this song..

  • yea, i agree. he makes some mistakes while he plays as well.

  • The trumpet solo in this one is more 'jazzy'; whereas the one played in the Tribute version was more pop-ish.

I love em' both; although the one in this video is more invigorating to the overall ambiance of the orchestral symphony.

  • personally...i like the Tribute version better..

this guy makes it feel like there's a giant gap in the music

  • Wonderful!!!

  • Major-league!

    this leaves you speechless.

    FANTASTIC!

  • amazing precussion

  • trumpet's solo wasn't what I had in mind..... tribute's version is much better!

  • Todos tus aportes han sido fabulosos. Thanks a lot, helpinghand123

  • I would give alll what i have,to see it live!!!!

  • cello player is very excellent

  • MASTERPIECE

  • Wonderful!!!

  • i like very much, e foarte fina muzica si placuta, e deosebita, e speciala pentru oamenii care au suflet sa o asculte,o poti asculta si cu inima, mai ales cu inima.

  • does any know when was realized this concert??

  • so nice.. thanks

  • thnaks for posting it !

  • the trumpet part is more "soul" than it is in Tribute live, i like them both.

    great song, great show! :D

  • I prefer the tribute version¡

  • absolutely amazing! i love his music!!

does anyone know if he will be performing more? in the U.S??

  • he is on tour now check your local ticketmaster for shows, good luck

  • @hotness161616 he just did his Yanni Voices tour the past year. I'm not a big fan of the vocal stuff but Yanni is still great. You should check out Ynot Nosnibor, he's pretty good too. In fact he gives a lot of credit to Yanni.

  • @hotness161616 I know he'll be coming to the US in 2011. He'll be in North Carolina in April. I can't wait!

  • @hotness161616 his 2011 tour in the US started.

  • I love it :) what a music... what a soul... and I feel waisted...

  • I love this Song...I was dancing all by myself last night after Heath Ledger won the Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actor....then a knock on the door and when I opened it a Stranger said "I'm the Stranger sent to dance with you....I said "Wow, come on in....We continued dancing though the night...Then I woke up....Oh Well it was fun while it lasted....Bob, Palm Springs, Ca.

  • Awe...Bob thats cute...and this really is a wonderful track too!

  • Same here of my personal favorites, the trumpet in this song is incredible

  • This is one of my favorite Yanni compositions. This fugelhorn player is phenomenal, more jazz and improvisation. Luis delivers an awesome pop, more melodic interpretation. Ric's bass solo and the cellos make this truly a beauty. And to have the keyboards of Ming really make me teary. Ming's solo was on my voicemail for a long time. Everyone asked me "who is that playing and what is that beautiful composition?"

  • they change to much this sounds to soft and jazz style its ok but luis make it bright this song

  • this concert not as perfect as the one in India, because of the British poeple they are not interactive with the musci solo..

  • cool but the performance in india with the white guy in glasses was better with

  • By comparing musicians you guys completely miss the point. Each performer is different and adds their unique touch and interpretation, in your rush to compare people you miss the subtly nuances in their performance. Go back and watch the india rendition you will notice the tempo is faster, this rendition is more jazzy and mellow.

When you see music and indeed life as a competition you miss the essence!!!

  • 100% in agreement.

  • different world

  • notice they all close their eyes when they play the intruments lol ... i guess they are taking away by the music cause its so wonderful? well love the song!

  • I'd close my eyes too, knowing thousands of people were focused on me, while I tried to remember the music I was playing ... I don't know how musicians do it

  • It's more to prove that musicians DO know it that they close their eyes, or simply they are remembering something, or even loving the music plain and simple. Closing your eyes isn't too hard if you know the music well enough.

  • Ming Freeman is the best!

    Necesitamos a Luis Aquino!!!!!!

  • Wonderful... simply magic! a great song, but I prefer the Tribute version with latin american musician Luis Aquino on troumpet, he sounds specially pure, a finest sense of music, the melodic feeling touches inside me... I respect this toumpetist, (I don't know his name) have his own style, but sometime we marry with an special kind of sound, and in my case; happened with Dance with a Stranger/Tribute version, I love this song and I love Yanni's music.

  • Mind blowing perfomance.

SALUDO AFECTUOSO A TODOS LOS FANs DE YANNI QUE HAY EN ESTE MEDIO!!!

  • i like the intro, but i'm used to listen to the other version.

  • did ming mess up or something????!!!!

  • He's pretty good. :)

  • I don't like this version and the trumpet player is a regular soloist.

  • I'm OK with U. I compare this song and a last version at Forbidden City. I like this last. Sorry for my school english...

  • This is music....Thanks Yani & Crew. I love it..

  • this is the Music, love you Yanni&Crew

  • This performance is not impressive as the one in Tribute live, but is closer to the original soundtrack.

  • Is this a DVD? where can i get it?

    Ming Freeman kick ass

  • Just VHS. You can get by going to his website, at the bottom of the page there should be a link to the old website. It is still for sale in there.

  • Not as good as the Tribute version. Luis Aquino did it much better

  • it is wonderful, you feel like that the music is speaking to your spirit and cures all the pain. thanks yanni

  • Absolutely beautiful music. Thank God for Yanni.

  • but the introduction in front is enchanting

  • fist time that i heard this version!

ric playes almost the same solo as he did at taj, and the same wonderful,

but mingfreeman takes some changes and it sounds somewhat less fluent...

however the solo trumpet plays more jazzy and freely and not to my appetite.

    thank u for your sharing

  • sorry to say that if this is the first version of the song, we might think that he is the good trumpeter. Anyway the Latin guy (Luis Aquino) is better than him.

  • This is true
