What about subscription channels like cbs or abc? how do you access your subscriptions. Our family is seriously considering dumping cable for a tivo and I just don't want to spend that kind of money without understanding how this all works. Sorry if its a stupid question...

@phillpottsk Tivo is a DVR, it means you can connect an antenna to it and record any program from ABC and CBS that you'd get online.

Tivo Australia have absolutely no plans to allow Tivo owners there to watch YouTube via their Tivo. They claim they are unable to due to licensing restrictions

TiVo Series3 and TiVo HD units only. Everyone with those models have it by the end of the month.

Yes, It has to be the Series 3 Model
to use the Youtube feature!

When I click watch youtube videos on my Tivo HD it tells me to come back August 1st. Why is that?
