  • i like this version better. its creepier and sounds cooler.

  • When I think of Freddy, I always imagine him brutally killing everyone while this song is playing..

  • i Think Bruce himself compared the two versions perfectly. He said his solo version is more "slinky" whereas the Maiden version "just goes for it". Both versions are great in their own ways, the solo version is creepier, whilst the Maiden version goes straight for the jugular. I think the Maiden version just slightly edges it for me, as the final chord sounds positively evil on that one! xD

  • HELLAEFFINCOOL!!

  • Harris does the bassline better.

  • Can anyone tell me during which scene of the movie this song appears? I just watched it, but somehow totally missed the song.

  • Worst original song?!?!?!?!?!?

  • Bring your doughnut Bring your doughnut to the slaughter

  • It's hard to choose between Maidens and Bruce's version they both classics

  • razzie award XD

  • Interesting to hear this original. Maidens version is better though.

  • Bruce sings here?

  • @RemixPLrc96 yeah. Can't you hear him? No shit man?! You must recognize his voice dude!

  • @RemixPLrc96

I know him and his voice. He's the king of heavy metal. UP THE IRONS

  • I like this version better than Maidens

  • Man , I fucking can not find any word to say, look at those lyrics and the sound. Seriously bruce dickinson is just one of the "gifted" man in the world, perfect voice, born to be a star and awesome live performance. Looking forward to watch iron maiden and bruce at sonisphere...

  • @Werawonable I wanna say one damn thing "PERFECT COMMENT" dude.

  • where do you get this version? 'am looking for this version since forever

  • @chabomorphosis you can find it on Best of Bruce Dickinson, or on soundtrack to Nightmare on Elm Street 5,you can also find it on Bruce Dickinson's Ultra Rare Traxxx vol 1 :)

  • I don't see much difference betwen this version and Maiden version,I mean it's not radically changed i

  • @aysd1234 how's that possible? The difference is obvious. The sound, the way how Bruce sings, the drum beat, the bass line. The differences are big and hearable

  • well well well ,at least janick's solo still fucking coll , one of the few good solos that he does , the others looks like the same solo in everysong

  • the maiden version is more heavy \m/

  • @TheEddieGama indeed but this version is more creepy, and it fits more to Freddy Krueger and Nightmare on Elm Street

  • This version is better than Maidens original. The sound is heavier and drums are better.

  • @ArthurLeighAllen Actually this is original version of that song. Bruce wrote it for Nightmare on elm Street 5 soundtrack, and Steve Harris got liked it so much that he wanted to put it on Iron Maiden album.

  • Comment removed

  • this version sounds more commercial for those years. Maiden version sounds more heavy and faster. I like both! But it's half-Maiden = Bruce + Janick :D

  • Nightmare on Elm Streets are fucking good movies, but Bruce/Maiden? make it better! \,,/

  • i prefer the maiden version

  • both version are very similar

  • Bring me your daughter... to the slaughter!! WORRA BLAZIN' TRACK!! LOVE IT!

  • Ironically, the sloppier guitar playing and the poor mix (the bass guitar is too loud) are what make his version sound so good.

  • Like this one way better. It's scarier.

  • better than the iron maiden version

    this is more brutal!

  • Is the solo by Janick Gers still? Sounds like him.

  • @Isaacooper28 Yeah because Janick plays here.

  • there almost exact except Maiden Version is Better Nicko Mcbrain and Steve Harris do way more time changes on the song give it alot more flavour Davey Murray adds more power to the single guitar of jannick

  • gran cancion, por si algun fan de los maiden no lo sabe, originalmente escrita por bruce para pesadilla en elm street 5 y q posteriormente aparecio en el no pryer for the dyin

  • Even the soundtrack of the old freddy movies is better than the remake

  • esta version tb es super genial...recontra glam :).....

  • i love this song!

  • life long Maiden fan but this is better than their version XD

  • I think that too man.

  • hey i rember this song. I been looking this for a long time. I first hurd it when bruce first went solo around 1993. I never hurd it after that just iron maidens

  • This version sounds like a Guns n' roses rock song of the pre-Illusions era...

  • you mean like from "Appetite For Destruction"? You could be right, cause Bruce was exploring rock music at the times of "Tattooed Millionaire", And lot of songs from that album sounds like : Guns N Roses, Aerosmith, or Def Leppard.

  • yeah, the riffs kinda sound like the kind of music that Iggy & Slash would craft during the 89-90 years...

  • both versions are great, a great example of how good Bruce is at writing songs, also love the harmony in the chorus, they should have kept that in the Maiden version

  • and that's a damn right mate

  • @bodgely I agree, and this fit perfectly to Nightmare 5. A classic track!

  • wow thats amating!!! ive never heard it!

  • I don't remember this song in the movie,in what of the movie we hear it??? anyway great song for a great movie

  • in what part of the movie we hear it??

  • Holy hell!! Never heard this version before, and I've got to say... it's GREAT! I liked some of the effects they used on the maiden version, but the drums and bass sound much more solid and polished (in a good way, for once) here.. and no, I'm not talking shit about steve and nicko (I'm a huge fan of maiden), but something wasn't quite right on the no prayer album, for that type of music. The drums on fotd were much heavier.. My opinion, of course..

  • i thinks so too but this song got a Golden Raspberry Award for the worst song ^^

  • Dude, does anybody else hear Bruce nearly sounding like Rob Halford?

  • Maybe a little, but I'm not sure about that.

  • Maidens is cooler bit bruces is better 1 :D and i lik bruces voice better in bruces version

  • Do you know exactly were in the movie this song appears?

  • Dude, I was watching Nightmare on Elm's Street 5 many times but I have bad version and around last hour of movie sound of movie is dead, so I can't really tell you where exactly this song is.

  • I like instrumental from Iron Maiden, but vocals from this :)

  • I like both:)

  • Me too, but Iron's signature guitar tune is better for me :)

  • yeah, that's true man. Iron's guitars sounds great.

  • cool esto es maiden cierto ? de putamadre

  • well dude, If you were saying"is it maiden song", wellk yes, it is. but Bruce wrote it for Nightmare on Elm Street 5 soundtrack, and After that Iron maiden made their own version at album called No Prayer for Dying. Maiden version is different than this one. But also cool.

  • Actually I like this version better ;-) Love both though.

  • is it just me or does the intro sound like part of the chorus to "can i play with madness"

also the riff during the ahhh ahhh ahhh ahhh part is a lot like the last riff in "ghengis khan"

  • hmm maybe you're right! I haven't heard it before!

  • you need to hear metal that sound like other metal xD search it on youtube. you will be amazed with iron maiden ripping iron maiden

  • This version's interesting, but I think the version recorded with Iron Maiden is superior...this seems a little, I don't know...undeveloped, perhaps?

  • Hmm maybe you're right, but in my opinion Bruce's voice sounds in this version a little more brutaly. I like both versions of this song. But I've choosen this one because it's from original soundtrack of Nightmare on elm's Street 5 and it's fits little more to my viedo. It's more raw..

  • I agree with you there. The Iron Maiden version wouldn't fit so well.

  • Great song! Was this version released before the Iron Maiden version or after?

  • Before...

  • HA im the first one to comment on this
