I don't care that your daughter doesn't care about being late or over crowded muni. I do, most people trying to get to work, we care. You're not telling us anything in this ad.
@promontorium I don't even think Bevan should have put the child in the ad. However, all these ignorant gays can't see past that. They think it should not matter. Clearly, they are delusional and do not have their pulse on the heartbeat of common sense. Alas, I can understand why they were shocked when the marriage amendment didn't go their way. They are completely DELUSIONAL.
One more vote for Bevan. Took a look at your policy on homelessness, and it's clear that you're the one candidate who has thought about the issue, decided to help people off the streets and prevent them from getting there in the first place, and to do it in a manner that works and is cost-efficient. Bravo.
Dufty is the candidate that wants to hire "Life Coaches" for the Muni drivers to help with their dismal attendance record. In the real world, if you show up chronically late for work you get fired.
I think this ad is sentimental tripe and has no substance to it. How is he going to change things? This ad is very long on trying to provoke feelings and void of any real substance. Dufty isn't going to fix MUNI. His whole campaign seems to focus on San Francisco needing a "black agenda." This campaign was his to lose, and if his speaking points I heard at the mayoral forum and this ad are any indicators, I sincerely hope he does lose it.

The guy has absolutely no shot for the win. And, sorry to burst bubbles, but little Sidney looks like a boy. The short haircut is cute! It's the jeans and jacket that makes it all look overly planned. Maybe Bevan is trying to send a "gender neutral" message to the City, but it is inappropriate to use his daughter to do it. For safety's sake alone, it was a poor choice to place his daughter in the ad. Children are not campaign ploys.
@blackrob60613 candidates pose with their children all the time. What about all the political ads where the kids have speaking roles or where politicians talk about their children in speeches. Michele Bachman talks about her 20 some foster kids all the time and Sarah Palin used her autistic son as an example as to why she's against abortion. I don't see why the childs dress has anything to do with the message. Have you considered that maybe thats how she likes to dress. Get over your bias.
@Sajun777 you would need a 12 part Discovery Channel special series to cover the multi-faceted issue of fixing muni. :) 30 secs isn't nearly enough time to go into detail
wtf? this guy over Lee? hahahaha

I have no idea who Bevan is, but the 8 year old transvestite has me completely baffled.

Go Bevan - I am voting for you! You are a really good father and I believe you have a lot of compassion for the city and its people. :-)

I'm confused. He says "She" but it's clear that Sydney appears to be a little boy?
Also, what is he actually going to do about Muni?
Sajun777 4 months ago
@Sajun777 Sidney is his daughter. What's clear is that she seems to like wearing jeans and a team jacket and having short hair. Good for her.
