  • He joined a band as a vocalist because Keith left the band. Hes a brilliant, funny, fascinating, engaging man. Hes not the greatest vocalist. Though, he is more coherant and intellectually pleasing than morris.

  • rollins = poser. he rode the coattails of keith morris. keith lived the real life.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork thats dumb and if you believe it go watch some OFF vids a great band!

  • @poolpig it's not dumb it's true. i'd trust what jack grisham says before I would you. and I like OFF but it's not party music like keith claimed it was.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork Its dumb for 2 reasons Rollins has done a lot as much if not more than Keith and you got on a Rollins video to knock Rollins. I personally like everyone you named! lol you would follow what Jack says go ahead I WOULD TRUST WHAT JACK SAYS B4 U thats fuckin lame. I dont know you and I hope you know Grisham. Instead of finding people to argue with like some TROLL because it is about taste and not fact go watch something you like. And you basically criticize Keith Morris too lol!

  • @poolpig you illiterate fag, I aint criticising anyone except east coast bozos like rollins. he jumped on the bandwagon in 81 with black flag long after it had already made an impact, thanks to keith morris.

I dig keith morris' stuff but that doesn't mean I buy all the shit he says either, same with jack. But I believe jack has it right about about rollins. He was their a good 3-4 years before rollins.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork Wow now its name calling and throwing down more punk history trying to legit your situ. Is this how you release stress, go find a video you dislike and post comments against it using your punk history and "huge education" to bully others??? TROLL FIND A BRIDGE!!

  • Go, Hank!

  • Stop being self deprecating! Stop sucking TOO MUCH up to women! Other than that, Rollins fuckin' rocks!

  • Don't take this the wrong way. But people like Henry Rollins actually shows Americans to be more than ignorant, backward, can't see the world beyond Hawaii. Rollin's is very clued in on everything that is happening everywhere and the guy is more than welcome to sit down for a pint of guinness with us anytime.

  • GOD BLESS HENRY ROLLINS!!!!! \m/ \m/

  • Got a chance to see him in person earlier this year. Phenomenal speaker with great stories. I personally don't agree with all of his views, but he makes a lot of good points. Be sure and Look up his "Ember of Rage" speech

  • Gotta love Rollins. He tells it like it is. Smart guy.

  • he's a vegetarian...kinda. big on sushi

  • Thanks for the upload .. very good vid.

    5*

  • i've seen the uncut from new orleans and israel but can't find the northern ireland or south africa episodes. if anyone knows where to find them lead me to it.

  • they have a few clips of them on the ifc website. that is the most i have been able to find. About 20 or so minutes of each split into different segments.

  • He says he'll be working in fast food, but it doesnt matter how underground his content is. Because if you look at the amount of movies, shows, spoken word, writing, just the amount of work he does alone, he has to be the richest guy that came from a hardcore band in the 80's. He has to have amassed a small fortune by now.

  • true, but he also makes sizable charity contributions.

  • He's too smart to be broke.

  • Ha waste his fortune on charity. ;)

  • Rollins is the man, he is not moron.

  • I think that Henry is a great observer. He is genuinely interested in the reasons behind human conflict. He was diplomatic when talking about Northern Ireland, as it is a complex issue.

  • Yea. It's good to see and American admit that.

  • Is it just me, or has Henry lost a LOT of weight??? His cheeks are all sunken in and his arms are thing nowadays. Is he sick?

  • He just used to be jacked. He probably doesnt work out like he used to.

  • that freaked me out too. but apparently he's mainly a vegetarian today. and you have to know exactly what you are doing to be jacked and vegetarian

  • Henry is being somewhat disingenuous here. After all his father was a college lecturer, so his background is solidly middle-class. He is also a good deal cleverer than he says. I have always admired his fluency and the ability to absorb and distill complex arguments with a few well chosen words.

  • Henry's father was a military man and I think that he gets his drive and intense focus from him. His parents split up when he was three, so although both his parents were well educated, I think that it was hard financially for his mother. So, I guess that Henry has his struggles growing up.

  • according to henry, his dad was a jerk.

  • @watershipdown2008 Rollins hated his father. He didn't change his name to Rollins for nothing.

  • @HoosierMF I never said that he didn't have very strong feelings concerning his father and how the man raised him. However, Henry recognizes the influence of his father's values on his own life and choices. I admire how Henry has taken the best from those values and challenged the rest.

  • @watershipdown2008 Not sure where you got that from. Look for the video "Henry Rollins, Man Test" here on youtube - he talks a lot about his past.

  • shit man, i like this guy more and more.

amazing stuff, if u got some more stuff pls post them, it is having a lot of appreciation from ever'one

  • If you know who he is you gotta love or hate Henry and I love him, man.

  • good man henry!!

he talks about ireland and northern ireland in a way dumbass people will be able to understand!!

  • When Rollins talks, people listen.

  • Can't wait to see the 3 part series. Banking on someone uploading it to YouTube, considering I don't have the IFC channel.

  • I love hearing Henry talk. He should be a professional story teller. Well, I guess he already kinda is. :)

  • Thank you!!!

  • I can't wait to see these docs!

  • Now I wish I had cable. Hope to catch the documentaries when I can. Thanks for posting this.
