Im american myself before you try to pull that out on me, but if you know anything about cars you would never pick an american car over a german car. German cars have MUCH better interior design, quality, and reliablity all the while still having all the new technology and luxurys in their super cars that you will never see in a vette. Watch top gear, in 5 minutes of testing a ZR1, it was falling apart.

@MyLakers101 Audi's 4.2 sounds pretty sinister when you remove the stock exhaust system.. My S5 with a capristo exhaust is far louder than the stock car. I can bypass the mufflers and while it's loud, there are still four catalytic converters AND a resonator. The R8's(RS4's) 4.2 is much more aggressive than the similar engine in my car.. This is not fake.

Straight pipes are cool, but I think they should be kept on the racetrack. There are some very nice aftermarket exhaust systems for both the R8 4.2 & 5.2 that project the sound better without making it unbearably loud, especially at lower revs. I'm pretty sure the stock R8 exhaust has the muffler-flap set up found in the Gallardo LP560-4's exhaust. The stock R8 exhaust sounds great, but it isn't too noticeable until you get past 3K RPM (when the flap in the Gallardo is blown away).
