That't the speed of light relative to the ambiant impedance of vacuum in our local space. However that may or may not change as the Univers expands or contracts
I LOVE THIS SONG. XD I actually MEMORISED THIS. XDDD And I suck at math/science and numbers in general! YAY CLINT BLACK! This song is a family tradition when we're on vacation. HEHE.
Better than Monty Python times 10000000000000000000000, if that's even a number! Get it, cause the song talks about millions of lightyears and stars and all that yadayada
I can't stand country music, but I love Clint Black, and this song and video are wonderful. The Galaxy Song deserves to be more than a silly Monty Python scene, it's an amazing song.
12,000,000 miles a minute is roughly the speed of light as the song states "As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know, Twelve million miles a minute, and that's the fastest speed there is."
Currently science hasn't been able to PROVE otherwise even though there are many interesting plausible theories. Someday... Maybe they will...
This is an amazing song I remember this song from 5th grade when we were learning about the solar system and space we heard this song.....aaaahhhh memories
Ok, I'm confused.... This great video is the only thing I've seen on You Tube with a solid five star rating and yet it doesn't show up as highest rated?
I always loved this song from monty python and I saw "Galaxy Song" under Clint black awhile back and I NEVER knew he did this. Just one more reason to absolutely love it!
Oh man, this is just beyond great. This is my favorite Python song of all time and he did a great rendition of it, I'm sure Eric Idle would be pleased with it, plus the Americanizing of the ending was a nice touch. Five stars.
the video sequence was taken from the movie Contact. It took almost two years to create the opening sequence. The author, the late Dr. Carl Sagan, felt it was worth it.
