  • i didnt realise billy ray cyrus had native american blood in him good song not really a huge fan of his music for d record the us government of the native american people is shameful as an outsider(ie irish) for the land of the free to treat the orginal occoupants of the land as second class citizens is just terrible

  • This is a great man, great singer and a true american....RESPECT

  • i love this song and i hope he does another one just like it bc it is true.

  • Never thought this country singer is a First American. Shows how ignorant I'v been for so long as I always thought country folks were against the existence of the true Americans. Don't like country music but this song and it's lyrics I can certain take in. Cheers Billy!!

  • PRAYER FOR THE WHITE MAN

    And now, Grandfather,

I ask you to bless the White Man.

He needs your Wisdom, your guidance.

You see, for so long, he has tried to destroy my people, and only feels comfortable when given power.

Bless them, show them the peace we understand, teach them humility.

For I fear they will someday destroy themselves and their children, As they have done so Mother Earth.

    I plead, I cry.

After all, They are my Brothers.......

  • or this one watch?v=HKyT-wBdq5k

METAL > all other genres. it sounds better than country, sounds better than punk, and rivals with rock (which is pretty much very similar and they are both cousins)

  • nowhere near as good as this song watch?v=XkCklS0_qv8&feature=fvsr

  • Shout out to my brother Dawg Soldiers and Rainbow Warriors... :) listen to Mother Earth.

  • the spirit of the native americans is strong and always shall be songs like this one and others that tell of how the native americans suffered through history allows there message to be heard and there stories told this song has always had a deep meaning to me and i love it billy ray has always written good music but this one is one of my all time favs by him

  • My great-great-great grandfather Tah-ne-yun-ta (Running Deer) survived the Trail of Tears.

  • 20 Million US Indians died at the hands of Jew Jacob Amhearst who used Germ warfare ie Small box blankets to kill them off.

Other 'religious Protestant Christians' defended its use with scripture.

It truly was a Trail of Tears.

  • c, EST UNE BELLE CHANSON!

  • my angels... ;) @secondrisingsun :) can you feel my pain?

  • my angels... ;) @secondrisingsun :)

  • If this wasn't a Billy Ray Singing/Recording it would have been a big crossover hit. Imagine if Merle Haggard had recorded it or even Johnny Cash. Not right but thats the way it is. Mandolin player is beyond excellent!

  • my angels... :) @secondrisingsun

  • this song made me want to play the mandolin

  • ...

  • that is a great song

  • the only good song cyrus ever put out.

  • @Jessab1 not true. have you listened to 'some gave all'? its a great song.

  • this was made in grand rivers kentucky where i live at its a awesome song cause my family grew up land between the lakes

  • Billy ray did this and other songs to remember the plight of all native american's one other song is called Geronimo. I grew up listening to the mans' words and the songs speak volumes over the surge of negitive comments. if they didnt' like the music they could turn it off. seems to me the fake people are the ones complaining here. Billy ray is part native american he is apachee i think, he doesnt' put that as a topic he wants his music to speak first... truely a man before his time...

  • its a great song

  • This song, as I recall, never got air play on the radio, eventhough it won Video of the Year Award. And yes, it does commemorate the Trail of Tears. Billy Ray is Cherokee. He did this to honor his ancestors, as I heard in an interview. I was quite touched. I don't think he takes himself too overly seriously, so why all the criticism. He's just a guy making a living. If you don't like him, don't listen. I appreciate this song. It's the perfect rebuttal to "Indian Outlaw" by Tim McGraw.

  • Still am and always will be a BILLY RAY CYRUS fan. BIly Ray Cyrus you rock!

  • @SingerAnne GOD BLESS we as non natives took their land stole it and run them off,,,, DAMN US!

  • yeeeeeeehaaaaaa excelent

  • OK you A/B song stealing mullet wearing, wanna be actor. Well, Doc was OK but this crap with your daughter is just lame. No one can be s stupid as you portray and survive. But I digress. This was by far the best that you put out. The other Some Gave All. I really wish you' d do some more. You just let the Ville beat your ass. They are good at that.

  • did u no that the guy walking on the bridge is dronamos (i cant spell) great great grandson?

  • @lilavril694 geronimo's and billy ray has a song about geronimo and it's rumored to be about a vision billy ray had...

  • @TheChey1997 ya but the reason i no that was because "chief" is my godfather

  • Wait.... What's with how he's holding that guitar??

  • this song brings back memories

  • I dont get why billy would ever try to be educational with a history song. I mean motorcycles and indians? LOL

  • @TwilightPrincess841 becouse it native american history

  • Testament's song trail of tears is way better

  • @EclipseMetal08 i agree

  • My Favorite song of ALL TIME REALLY!!
