  • Yeah - Very nice - I try and have to keep on practicing.

I like to play the bass also on this song - one of the Beatles underated classics....

  • Great job! I've attempted this one myself, so I appreciate your accomplishment here.

  • very , very , very good . You actually nailed it . Thankx for this

  • hey man, great job! what harmonies are you playing?

    thanks.

  • Loved it mate great job, sounds really close especially as you are playing two guitar parts on your own.

Not many get this to sound right.

  • Man, I posted on here before....but that is just awesome! I love that song, but playing that part keeps me out of the loop. Good job brother!

  • sono muy chido amigo.... saludos!!

  • Kel is still waiting for those lessons.

  • that was awesome!!! i can play only a quater of this song from memory

  • not bad!

  • wow, that was amazing ;)

one of my favourite beatles song..

    lefty like paul.

    love it!

  • onother lefft more :P

  • B- parts not exact and a bit herky jerky

  • Brilliant, I wish you could slow it down so I could learn it . Love for you to do a tutorial.

    Thanks

    Joe

  • Nice work!

  • dayum nice...but backwards.

    cool!

    thanks

  • not for me! im a lefty too!

  • Very nice!

  • coolness to the max!

  • This is completely different to the way i play it. I know its double tracked so im guessing this is the other way to the way i know.

  • VERY NICE !!! ... :)

  • Good heavens! Just when you think double-leads require TWO guitarists, here comes a fellow who does it single-handedly! (well, he's actually using 2 hands... but you get the idea). Yes! Tutorial video is now called for. And I second!

  • Nice double stops, George. Sounds like Paul and George!

  • Close enough for me!

Could you please make an instructional video for the way you play it? I'd love to know how you do it.

    Thanks!

  • you know what this song is double leads isnt it? Well this guy did pretty good without the double leads!!!! Amazing man amazing!

  • close enough man!!!! I think It´s exactly the same way that George plays the song.

  • George double tracked the guitar. It's funny how so many guitarists do it in double stop. It is cool but it never occurred to me to do it that way.

  • Paul played it with George.

  • I meant for my point to be that the guitar was double tracked but that many who play the song use double stops. Joe Walsh learned it in double stops too.

  • nice job, man. not exact, but still great.

  • genericgeorge

of course you know that the original was played by George and John, but your version is really good and only 1 guitar, thats a fantastic job, also is sounds interesting, harmonically different from the original, but very interesting. top Andreas

  • Actually it was George and Paul, not John.

  • poor replication of the original tone.

  • nice rippin' dude!

  • definitely the closest I have seen yet. Hard being George AND Paul at once! I'm getting close myself and will post soon

  • That is as good as it gets, next to George himself.

  • Best version in the youtube...excellent

  • best version i have seen, good job mate

  • so its possible to play those riff just with one guitar? =D

  • If you see duplicate posts by me on here,it is because I'm not very computer savvy. Please be patient,as I am still learning. JPM

  • Hello Warren,Paul here. I believe I was there mate. The song was released with George on 12 string Rickenbacker, over dubbed by a 6 string. On Anthology two 6 strings were used, and dubbed. If you listen closely,on CD,on a premium system, I believe you will hear the combination on the original release,as it is not so obvious on vinyl,or cassette. At any rate,it is one of my favorite songs by

George ! Keep on Rockin, JPM

  • Almost note for note the way George played it ! Tricky little riff. You got a great sound out of that Tele.Best version on You Tube so far considering George used a Rickenbacker 12 string to record it,and it was double tracked . Great job !

  • There's no 12-string in the familiar Beatles recording, although you can find the original version with 12-string on Youtube, and on one of the Anthology albums. Paul played the harmony part to George's lead, if I understand correctly...

  • really good!

    thanks for the video

  • Hey man, I have been trying to figure out that lead progression for most of my life. That dual note thing was really freaking me out. Thanks for posting this. You're spot on!

  • That was a delight,thank you!

  • Thank you!

  • please teach us how you play it like that?

  • Sorry Pat but it would take ages to do it. Besides mine isn't 100% correct. There's other guys who show you how to exactly play this on youtube, though only one note at a time. Cheers.

  • Bravissimo!!!!

    From ITA, xfaida.

  • I think your version is the best on youtube. Not exact on the album version, but really really close, and you do the harmony using only one guitar, as it should be (all the others used overdubs). Great job man. Greetings from brazil. (btw, beatiful tele you got over there)

  • Thanks a lot for that. And yes I love my Tele.

  • Very nice. Sounds very similar to the two guitars they used.

  • Cheers.

  • Very very good! :D

  • Nice man! Sounds cool.

  • Sweet!
