Hi,

Your recipe for your bubble bar is far too expensive. SLSA costs about $30/kg. This makes your bubble bar more expensive than Lush bubble bar. You need to reduce the amount of SLSA in your recipe!

@MartinDrewelius Where are you buying yours at? I just bought some for about $12/kg...and I'd say 1/2 of it (1lb) will probably do about 4 recipes. That's a WHOLE lot cheaper than LUSH!! If you use less, it won't suds up as much. ;D

i tried this and they dont smell or bubble up as good as LUSH bubble bars, but its an ok activity to do with kids

@Lorea1991 If you shop Lush products, bubble bars are pretty popular which is probably why she didn't do the demo. You take your bar or (or half if your conservative!) and crush it up in your running water. It's so nice and smells like heaven. I hope you get a chance to try them out :) You'll be hooked!

Lolo, I too LOVE lush bubble bars but not the prices. I have watched this video over and over, and I love it! I have not had the opportunity yet to make them myself, as my hubby is against my spending the money for experimentation, but he is okay with it if it were tried and true. So, I'm wondering if any of your viewers have made and used this particular recipe? How did they turn out? How do they compare to lush's bubble bars? Any result info would be awesome. @resourcefulcrafts Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate should be the bubbling agent. i havent tried this, but i know lauryk sulfate in shampoo is what makes the bubbles. ( i know this cus i don't use any shampoo that has this)

@xoxofromsophie I think they bubble just as well as LUSH bars. The one thing I would say they don't do is add as much color to your bath. I think that could probably be fixed by adding more coloring, though!

Thanks for this video. I tried your recipe last night but my bars seem to not dry. It's over night and it's still soft and wet. Can you tell me how long it takes to dry? or will they dry? I'm trying to make them for wedding favors but will not work if they don't dry. Thanks.

@VnMakeup They shouldn't be completely "dry" but they should harden up. Make sure when you add the liquid that you get it to the consistency of play-doh but not TOOO wet... Hope this helps.
