  • God, this guy is hilarious. Even with a review from 2009 I was still laughing my ass off. xD

  • i know this has bein gone for a while but i do wish tht the youtube layout didnt change i do perfer the other way it was because in my opionon its more elagent nd seemed really simple to use but the new youtube look isnt tht bad

  • i have the same one, dont like it personaly

  • can download vids 170mb+

  • would i b able to download movie 170mb-700mb

  • Do all models have 3g?

  • I might get this. The iPad made me release I need something portable but bigger than my iPod Touch though it's utter crap.

3g is a must IMO, otherwise you have to be at home or at starbucks for internet. Although I liked this foldable netbook tablet that had a touchscreen, I need more than just wifi.

Any touch screens, tablets, or umpcs? with 3g or other sim card ready netbooks? Maybe I can put a screen in this.

  • Wow, it's faster than MY connnection. Then again, I'm on Wi-Fi

  • really this is faster you need to update your connection because i get 54mbps on my wifi

  • Optus let you borrow something of theirs without charging! Thats a first

  • Blunty3000, for the touch pad, you can put a thick adhesive to the edges so you'll know when you're running off it.

  • Intel Atom N270 is 1.60 ghz, not 1.66ghz

  • no it is 1.66, people just say 1.6 for short

  • No it is 1.6. The Intel Atom N280 is 1.66

  • no its not...its poorly built...that cheap chrome accent that wraps around the netbook breaks and peels off. I had one and sold it....ill never buy cheap ass Korean again!

  • watch that tongue plz ;)

  • try a archos 10 there not bad.

  • Macs suck microsoft DICK! hehehe lol! o_O

  • he uses one. he just gets these free to review

  • LOL

The Netbook is a very good one... It has a built in 3G Wireless "BORADBAND" Modem.

    WTF is "BORADBAND" ???

Is it from the Film Borat? Or is it a New Band where Borat is the Leadsinger. *gg*

    Nice One ;)

  • Lemme see the uncensored version

  • please email and tell me how to get started in reviewing electronic gadgets. I know I would have to send them back but that's fine. thanks Blunty!

  • Cheapest I could find the NC10 for is $593,

I got an ASUS model F50Z 16" screen 320G HD, 2GB memory, 802.11n wireless, vista home premium for $799 last Friday 2/10/09 from a computer shop called MSY in Chipping Norton.NSW

For an extra $206, you can't go wrong

  • how much is this bastard?!?! :D

  • omg australia has come to the 21st century....get a mac

  • mac dosnt have games

  • my bro has that phone it costs £900 to buy

  • I don't often take much interest in the gadgets you promote, but this one seems pretty cool. I need a new laptop anyway

  • Say blunty can i connect this to my home network?,,,oh never mind just heard u say wifi lol

  • 1.00 to 1.12 is funny. lol

  • I had an NC10 this summer, It was good, i enjoyed the built-in webcam, the internet speed was great and the keyboard is fantastic. As said in the vid: the mouse IS too small. It's also extremely sensitive and i found that when i was watching things it would frequently go back a page.

  • The stats on it are not realy up to date a standard laptop know should have atleast 3G ram

  • That's because it's NOT a "standard laptop" it's a NETBOOK. dingus.

  • Netbooks are handy. Seemed to have a solid connection to the net aswell and the battery life is a plus. Nice review. Love your work. Keep it up.

  • whoa you actually responded to someones comment

  • CHECK-MATE lol

  • knocks and bingles?

  • nice jthm shirt :D

  • you need to be sectioned!

  • I wanna get that because I want to press the fatass button :O

  • Sounds to me like your either an unpaid fanboy employee, or, You ARE being payed to give it a good review and being part of the corporate greed that is youtube.

Or, you are giving an honest review and quite frankly i think you are... but Im just trying to bitch :P

  • What a jolly "Catch you next time!"

  • boradband?

For someone SERIOUSLY considering buying this I'd suggest looking at the asus 1005ha, Make sure you get the right sub-model, usually the cheaper one (oddly) has a longer battery life and 1.3 embedded webcam rather than 0.3 on the other...

It's the one I have and it really is SOOO GOOD

the battery life is ridiculously good genuinely 9hours plus :D

  • i recently got a netbook

    from DELL though

and not based on a phone plan

the touch pad is definitely more neat than that one

it's larger and it has incorporated apple-like features for scrolling, zooming, etc.

    wasn't too much either

i'm liking it pretty well so far :)

  • This guy looks like Robert Downey Jr.

    Cool vid. lol

  • JAMES ROLF - absolute legend!!!

  • Gee I'd have to be careful with all the power the "Boradband" modem it comes with.

  • BOARD JAMES!!! YEAH!!!!!! GO AVGN!

  • I really don't understand how you can stream youtube smoothly . I had a Asus 1000HA with exactly the same specs..and it stutters badly when trying to stream videos. On top of that it ran on Wi-Fi 54 mbps..compared to your 3G 7 mbps.Even if it's updated drivers...it just doesn't compute. The NC10 is probably the best netbook hardware wise I give you that.

  • was 54 your network or connection cause im betting its your network speed. laptops tend to lie

  • I am not sure..,but I think it's not close to as slow as 7mbps.Websites and such load very fast,so it can't be that bad. Netbooks are notorious for it's weak video, that's why I sold mine.Avoid them if you intend to watch alot of vids.

  • Great one as always, and as we know you love apple, sooo I would really like if you would give your reveiw on apple laptops. I don't know what you think about it I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW!

    -FutureFlicks

  • That available Stateside? I may need to get a new computer when I head off to college, and this thing looks like it more than takes the cake. Decent value, even if it is in Aussie dollars, but man..

    ....

Question--is Samsung hiring you as a reviewer, or do you just honestly enjoy their products? I mean, I wouldn't blame you if you did--anything Samsung that I've owned has lasted wonderfully over the years, and exceeded my expectations--but, it still seems odd, to me.

    Ah well, good job, Blunty.

  • *facepalm* no I'm not "hired as a reviewer" I don't take cash for comment like some other youtubers. Never have never will.

  • @Blunty3000 You should, money= happiness.

  • can it handle world of warcraft

    yeah boii

  • LOL. No "boii"

  • No.

  • I recently boaght a Netbook from Packard Bell. A Dot m Series one. It is pretty good too. Super screen, Vista, keyboard not too small, fast too and and the usual other stuff.

Maybe you should try that one too!

  • is this with SSD?

  • why get an NC10 when there is a new one out!

  • Boradband ?!?!

  • great review :)

  • wow no cd slot.

  • You sure like samsung

  • Just so you know, this doesn't do laptop stuff. It's a little sluggish at running some programs you might use all the time.

  • Board James For The Win LOLz

  • is that an iZombie shirt?

  • Woo Hoo for Board James.

  • Is that a Johnny the Homicidal Maniac shirt you're wearing in the beginning of the video, Blunty? :D

  • They made you give it back!? Assholes.

    nice review ;D

  • i like it how u mak fun of urself

  • Very cool. I have been looking at netbooks etc. lately. I guess I will look harder at Samsung offerings than I had been. =)

    - Heidi

  • Hows it stack up compared to the MacBook? You still prefer the Samsung keyboard? I think the MacBook's keyboard is the best compared to most laptops.

  • man your so lucky you get to play with so many toys

  • i like the johnny the homicidal maniac shirt

  • been using the NC10 since decembre, fantastic little netbok, ended up replacing my laptop for most stuff, and at a push, managed to get 9 1/2 hours out of it - and you do get used to the touchpad, great bit of kit

  • Why did you say 10.2 inch screen but 1.33kg that is contradiction of metric and whatever the hell USa uses???

  • he's australian, mate... not from usa =)

i swear the "mate" wasn't meant to be funny or anything... i just actually say it a lot... not because i was saying he's ozzie :p

  • No, what CrazyManv2 was saying was using metric units for weight and standard units, which the USA uses, for screen size sound contradicting since they are contrary to each other. I doubt anyone says the screen size is 25.9 centimeters or converts any screen size to a metric unit for that matter.

  • exactly... what i meant was that in australia (as in most of the world) the metric system is the standard, but like you said, screen sizes are still usually messured in inches in most places... i don't know why that is... probably because most countries' imported their TV sets from USA when they became popular or something like that... i just thought that that was a well-known fact... so i though his doubt was on why he used kg for weight (which my answer: "he's australian" would explain)... =)

  • ohhhh, makes sense why you said, "he's australian". Thank you for your reply as to the metric system being standard as I had learned the following. The US customary system is historically derived from units which were in use in England at the time of settlement. the US was independent at the time so these units were unaffected. US customary units are still the main system of measurement used in the United States despite Congress having legally authorized metric measure on July 28,1866.

  • its more the other way around, many countries import into the US and to make things easy and cheap they use inches as a standard

  • Hey Board James!

  • Did you get the iPod nano sent for you to review or did you actually buy it?

  • Try listening to the first 30 seconds of that video and see if you can figure it out *facepalm*

  • Great review I actually really want to get one for my trip and my many other vacations! Not to mention 7 hour car rides!

  • thats preety cool. lolz i dont even have a laptop. epicfail there on my part.

blunty, when are you going back to your stop motion it is amasing.

  • out of all that explaining u did man, i only cared for 7.2 Mbps net connection, and a power button on the side

  • I'm a cleanliness whore so I hate glossy finishes.... UGH damn fingerprint and dust magnets...

  • AVGN! [or board james in this case]

  • oh my god... u dun need this, lol... use a MacBook instead... xD its AWESOME!

  • i use a macbook and a blackberry tethered for internet

  • my netbook is exactly like that but its an acer and i can feel the edges of the pad :D

  • i really do hate that gloss shiny finish EVERYONE should o away with it.

  • x2!

  • hows the alienware15x? anyone know? and if blunty could do a video on that it would great

  • Thats still more RAM and HDD than my computer

  • You funny. I want to smoke with you.

  • lol.

    what the eff.

  • doesn't this have an incredibly expensive monthly fee?

  • it says 50$ for a year or 70$ for two.

  • CPU is 1.59, not 1.66GHz. the N280 is 1.66GHz.

  • N270 is 1.60 GHz, I'm looking at it right now.

  • its actually 1.59GHz, not 1.66GHz like he said in the video

  • i stand corrected! mine does occasionally scrape it, 1602MHz right now :-)

  • Aw, Poor blunty xD

  • nice

    watching the nerd

    thats awesome shit blunty mate

  • I have this, right next to me, time to find out what it is like

  • lovin the board james

  • 'boradband'?

  • oh yeah maybe its an australlian thing? (or spellin mistake most likely)

  • pfft this is bullshit, hes getting paid for this obviously, im watching this fullscreen from the first budget netbook ever released, and 7.2 mbit is not high tec, the normal max is 54 mbit

  • You're confusing 802.11G wifi and 3G broadband, they are utterly different things. noob

  • i love your videos dude i hope u keep making em

  • Buyaka.

    Good stuff.

  • 0:40

    Boradband

    lol

  • Nice to see you watch the Nerd's stuff.

Also, stop hawking products damnit, you're going to make us all broke.

  • is it me or do you seem to copy Dr cox from scrubs too much...

  • i love you're reviews! you do it in a nice tone with a pinch of humor in it to keep you from clicking away.

    i can't w8 for some game reviews

    (-.- yes i am addicted)

  • james rolfe!!!!!

  • Think I might just stick to my MacBook pro though.

  • obviously itll be better but think about the comparison in price. not everyone can afford a macbook

  • Yeah I did get the Idea of it, I was just being witty.

  • I have this but no 3g =(

  • 5 stars for J.T.H.M. shirt XD

  • I thought you were all Apple?

  • It will drive me insane, i am constantly polishing my ipod touch

  • lol angry video game nerd but this looks like a good machine

  • Nice typo in the specs :)

  • Its so sad that i was more excited that you were wearing a JTHM T-Shirt in the review than the notebook... sorry Blunty my inner comic geek got the better of me.

Nice review though... will have a look out for one of those little buggers.

  • ...me too..i generally hate netbooks, because they're too damn small for me. Ill keep my big ole 17" HP laptop.

i marked hard for the Johnny shirt though.

good review. as always. can't wait for that nice little Samsung Omnia HD review you teased us with.

  • you should definately get one blunty, i've had mine for about a month now and love every second i've used mine.

I too get a little tetchy when mine collects finger prints, shoulda bought a white one, oh well.

Still a great product for what you said plus a little bit of light gaming, emulation or anything light on processing power

  • AVGN :D

  • My father has one of these (bar the 3G modem) And it's fantastic piece of road kit, I have used it on the road a couple of times myself when I've been away as I didn't fancy taking my MacBook with me and it's hands down the best netbook I have ever used!

So good in fact I'm putting some money aside to go out and buy one shortly.

  • This seemed more like an optus ad than a product review.

  • When you were using the netbook, was it the 2G or 5G plan?

  • im not a guy that walks around with netbooks so i have nothing to say

witch makes this comment rediculously (i splet it worng didnt i lol) pointless

but i'll post it anyway cuz itt turns you on o_O

  • 1gb of ram? meeeh!

  • dude, it's a netbook. Not a gaming machine.

  • lol board james :D

  • O.o

    JTHM!!!

    OMG <3 YOUR SHIRT!

  • My laptop, the one I'm using to do this, has had the screen fall off. There's nothing but a wire holding the top, to the lap part. How did I brake it? I dropped it, then a year later, I sneezed while it was on my lap and it fell apart.

  • Excellent review blunty, as always :D

Looks like a decent rock solid mechine, but only 1 gig? ehh, i know its a netbook an all but jess they cudnt just put in a second gig stick?

OTher then that, the only thing i have gripe with is the cover, I HATE FINGER MAGNETS

What happened to the slick black tire tracked laptop cover/case, wtf is up with this glossy SHITE

Anyway, thank you blunty for your time on this review, looks nice spec wise (except for 1 gig)

  • the angry video game nerd :D

  • What's the best thing you've got to keep from reviewing? :)

  • you do get money for reviews, right?

  • wrong.

  • i'm sure the samsung company likes free advertising :D

  • Hmm, i always find it sad when Netbooks have more usb slots than my 13" Dell XPS -_-

  • I can wait for a Super Powered Netbook
