Wait a second. Whenever I press the circle button, I don't get the option to save and exit. It's either exit or cancel. I think it could be that I have autosave turned off, but I don't know.

these guys are in free agency u have to sign them off of the free agency in order for them to b on your team

I haven't played the game since last summer, so I'm guessing here: I think the Circle button is simply the back button. Circle is usually Back on most games, I think this one, too. But I could be totally wrong. Sorry.

Question. . .I created my player and I have him on my roster but when I go to play he isn't listed in any of my lines! There is this weird icon next to his name and I'm thinking if I change that he can play. What am I doing wrong? Any help?

Go to EDIT Team, and you can add your player under "Free Agents". Your player should be listed there.

Yeah, I think so. You can go into a player's attributes and play around with different settings. I've never actually tried saving them so I can't be certain about permanent change.

Yeah, but i never seem to get in fights. My older brother and i play NHL all the time and we never get our players to fight. But once my younger brother picks up the controller he like immediatley gets into like 7 fights. haha.

Have you saved multiple "Rosters"? If so, go to "save/load" under "My NHL 08" and load a different roster. I have to load "Roster 5" for example to be able to play with the teams/players I've created.

i kno all this and stuff, but how come when i try to edit a player, it never saves the equipment that i changed, it always goes back to default.

be aware im trying to edit the player during the season

I don't have any answers right now. I've created another team and I've noticed that the pants keep changing back to something else every time I start the game to check on the team.

Look under "Free Angents". Your created player should be listed there.

i dont like the skill system for created players in most games, i think you should start off with a limited amount of points then improve as you play

Good point. Tennis games always do it that way. Your player starts out as crap but through the seasons you can make him/her better.

Yeah, you can simply go to Edit Team, pick the team you want, and just add your player to the roster.

Apparently, according to all the irate PS2 owners, there is NO "Create a player/team" section of the game on PS2.

I think it is, but don't quote me on that. I've never seen it on XBOX so I don't know for sure. Other people have commented on it and it sounds like XBOX has the same features.
