  • @djnicksid

That is so true, very cool of you. I was a Heavy Metal drummer for many years and just love this as well as many other beautiful works that contain timeless melodies.Stay real!

  • When my wife and I were dating, this song was popular and it is "our song". We danced to it at our wedding and play it each year on our anniverary. When we hear it on the radio, it brings back many happy memories. We have been married for 49 years.

  • @rhouda goodlookin :)

  • @rhouda How beautiful, hope you have many more years and happy memories together.

  • @rhouda My wife and I are going on our 44 wedding anniversary this year and Moon River was THE song for us. Congratulations on your 49!!

  • why isn't today's music as beautiful as this

  • How can 8 people possibly dislike this?

  • @MrRoastyToasty

The eight people who dislike this don't

possess the ability to sit still for more than

ten seconds. I, on the other hand, am a

music lover.. can listen to everything from

opera to metal. Only one who is not honest

with himself can deny that this is beautiful.

  • Excuse me while I slip back to childhood.

  • Beautiful music, just timeless. It always takes me back to what once was, and what may yet be.

  • heard this song when i was grade six ( 1962 ) yet until nowr it never passed on my mind not to hum it especially it carries with it some sentimental memories..

  • unspekable

  • This song was played everywhere when i was young. 1961 was it's birth year, copied by many, but Henri Mancini made it popular in the early 60's.

  • Sentimiento,Anoranza,Nostalgia.? muy agradable

  • So very beautiful...It will always remind me of my Parents...

  • A masterpeace song... Sounds like heaven would sound like

  • It has the innocence of the music to the original Charlie and the chocolate factory. rememeber those - "come with me, and we'll be,... in a worrrrld of pure imagination"

  • Andy Williams for vocal arrangement but this Percy Faith for the original.

  • This music reminds me of summer camp, a simpler and more innocent time in my life. When my personal heroes were guys like Mickey Mantle, Nellie Fox, Stan Musial and Roger Maris. Before the Beatles, before Vietnam, before the assassinations and all of the other craziness that took place during the latter half of the 1960's.

  • for some odd reason, whenever i listen to these songs, i feel like im at disneyland, lol

  • Absolutely dreamy......

This evokes the fantasies that once danced in my head as a little girl when I would look at movies with some of the most beautiful, glamorous movie stars and handsome prince charmings that would triumph in the end... and love was..... beautiful.... but when this ends it will be 2009 again

  • delightful :3

  • The lyrics were written by Johnny Mercer. A magical combination with Henry Mancini's extraordinary music.

  • percy faith wrote this song?

  • Ne, Henry Mancini

  • amazing

  • Leave it to The Percy Faith Orchestra to take an Henry Mancini piece and make it sparkle.

  • Love it!!

  • We must pay homage to Henry Mancini who wrote the music and Johnny Mercer who penned the lyrics.

Your work lives on for ever!

  • You are right, but it's the style of music that Percy Faith's talent brought to music, that makes so good.

  • Magical.

  • haaaaaaahhhhhh...... so beautiful..

  • such great music! I remember AUdrey Hepburn with this one... sigh!

  • I too was a young kid....about four yrs old and also remember my dad playing this on the Hi-Fi he built himself. It had a 16" woofer. Lots of bass. He played it loud and never did a neighbor complain. Of course, we had the neighbors and lots of family over for summer barbecues. I still can vision the parties. I miss my Dad terribly.

  • I am just like your Dad, I love good music.

  • Good music like this, keeps on fermenting like good wine.especially when it's played by Percy Faith.

  • This is one of the best

  • touching tune from 1961/62 era.......I was a little 9 year old boy and Dad would play this tune on the Hi-Fi in our living room. At the time, I really didn't know the meaning of music but learned well growing up in the 60's during all the changes America was going through....God Bless and Merry Christmas
