  • Oberpfaffenhofen reminds me of Obersturmbannfuhrer Hans Landa ... :P

  • I gotta say it kind of looks like a parking lot or so

YES, I KNOW IT'S AN AIRPORT

    It just looks like it

Never heard of that one yet though

  • What a beautiful airplane!!

  • What a beautiful airplane!!

  • I used to work on these. Let me tell you those PW306B were absolute crap. Constantly having to replace due to overtemps and resulting cracking. Pratt and Whitney couldn't even overhaul them fast enough. We would have planes sitting on the ramp just waiting for engines.

  • @msvjrv I agree the turbine blades were always breaking up. I used to work on them too and sometimes would have to rob peter to pay paul, because the engine sucked so bad.

  • @rybread81 Tell me about it. We would have planes sitting on the ramp with no engines. Of course when that happens the rest of the plane gets robbed of parts too.

  • Very Good Airplane. Very Fast Climb. Beat a B737 to Boston..out of JFK...got there 10 mins faster. V-E-R-Y....hard landing...Solid....

They are NOT being made anymore.....

  • They're nice aircraft

  • i thought it woz a prop not jet engined..

  • there are 2 versions of dornier 328: 1 prop and 1 turbofan

  • A prop needs an engine yes?

  • dumbass!!!!!

  • or a large elastic band

  • Looks like Oberpfaffenhofen (EDMO), the home airport of the DO 328

  • Correct. You win the prize ;-)

  • I flew in one of these from Taiyuan to Tianjin in China. They are very quick on take-off

  • that looks like a parking lot....and a white paintedaircraft with no airport staff around and a group of people watching counquers this is possible a private aircraft?

expensive private jet eh... but i guess it aint more than a 737 bbj or the 767 bbj

  • looks pretty similar 2 the bae-146!!!!!!!!

  • There is a very big difference in the design of the wings and the fuse....

  • that is a real beauty luck me i had the cans to work on it but not with jet engines still it's awesome plane my favorite after dash 8

  • beautiful plane Dornier 320Jet...

  • isent it stupid to stand i front of a plane that has JET engines while its starting up??

  • wat type of engines does this plane use?

  • PW306B engines making 6050lbs of thrust each.

  • Hardly any :P

  • beautiful plane

  • Loudest jet I ever worked. I miss the ground shaking beneath my feet!

  • a parking lot?

  • dang not bad for its size

  • is this suposed to replace the Dash 8?

  • When are they ever gonna replace idoits like you lol y=im kining I think so

  • Skyway airlines out of milwaukee wisconsin flies the DO-328. They are sold now but still do some flying with them. I used to hear that sound every day. It has a nice hum when the first stage lights off. Bleed air start btw.

  • who's 328 is this?

  • see my reply further down on this page

  • I had no idea that dornier had a jet version of the 328. I thought it was only a turboprop

  • ya we had one at PWK not too long ago Phillip Morris has one

  • Yo I love airplanes and helicopters my favorites are the CJ1 (airplane) and Bell 206 Jet Ranger I hope to fly heli's and airplanes when I get older. i know from know so much about planes that the coolest part is the very beginning where all the exhaust comes out. Thanks. Cool plane!

  • is there a 4 engine version of this plane? built by BAE? or is this one also from BAE

  • It similar, but the Dornier is built by Fairchild, while the aircraft you're thinking of is the BAe 146- there is a significant size difference, but they do have a similar design

It's actually kind of weird to see a 328 with turbofans; I'm used to marshaling the prop version

  • The BAE is a 146. This is a Fairchild product. Two completely different companies, but very similar in looks. I have worked on MANY 328JETS. Nice to ride on but not very reliable engines for airline use.

  • Worked on many many 328 jets, still love that whine on startup.

  • @bigguy6100

    I agree, same for me

  • nice!

  • All white...?

  • I found out following things: Under the registration OE-HCM it was operated by Pacelli GmbH for Starline. A few months ago it became HB-AEU and the owner now is Swiss Jet AG.

  • Thanks for this information.

  • What is the name of this airport? Anyway, good start-up engine.

  • cool
