I used to work on these. Let me tell you those PW306B were absolute crap. Constantly having to replace due to overtemps and resulting cracking. Pratt and Whitney couldn't even overhaul them fast enough. We would have planes sitting on the ramp just waiting for engines.
@msvjrv I agree the turbine blades were always breaking up. I used to work on them too and sometimes would have to rob peter to pay paul, because the engine sucked so bad.
@rybread81 Tell me about it. We would have planes sitting on the ramp with no engines. Of course when that happens the rest of the plane gets robbed of parts too.
that looks like a parking lot....and a white paintedaircraft with no airport staff around and a group of people watching counquers this is possible a private aircraft?
expensive private jet eh... but i guess it aint more than a 737 bbj or the 767 bbj
Skyway airlines out of milwaukee wisconsin flies the DO-328. They are sold now but still do some flying with them. I used to hear that sound every day. It has a nice hum when the first stage lights off. Bleed air start btw.
Yo I love airplanes and helicopters my favorites are the CJ1 (airplane) and Bell 206 Jet Ranger I hope to fly heli's and airplanes when I get older. i know from know so much about planes that the coolest part is the very beginning where all the exhaust comes out. Thanks. Cool plane!
It similar, but the Dornier is built by Fairchild, while the aircraft you're thinking of is the BAe 146- there is a significant size difference, but they do have a similar design
It's actually kind of weird to see a 328 with turbofans; I'm used to marshaling the prop version
The BAE is a 146. This is a Fairchild product. Two completely different companies, but very similar in looks. I have worked on MANY 328JETS. Nice to ride on but not very reliable engines for airline use.
I found out following things: Under the registration OE-HCM it was operated by Pacelli GmbH for Starline. A few months ago it became HB-AEU and the owner now is Swiss Jet AG.
Oberpfaffenhofen reminds me of Obersturmbannfuhrer Hans Landa ... :P

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we love flying?
(2) Why do we like to click the bottoms on an aeroplane's cockpit?
(3) Why do we enjoy the feeling of powering up an aeroplane?
(4) Why do we like to hear the high-pitch-noise of an aeroplane's engine, especially when powering up?
THANK YOU IN ADAVNCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)
