  • 2 Timothy 2:4 God will have "all men to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth" 2 Corinthians 15:22 As in Adam ALL die so also in Christ shall ALL be made alive" 1 Timothy 4:10 "God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers" John 3:17 God sent his son not to condemn the world but to save it!

  • @artistickman So are you saying that no one will perish in the pits of hell?

  • therefore keep watch because you do not know when your LOrd will come....

  • After reviewing (most of) the Bible, I have not yet confirmed that "Hell" is real, at least, as we know it. It is described as "a place of pain, for weeping and gnashing of teeth", and in separate verses referred to as "eternal separation from God".

So maybe the whole "eternal punishment with fire and brimstone" is Catholic propaganda? Maybe hell is just, Dead. A painful death, but eternal death, nonetheless.

Eternal life can be easily confirmed in numerous verses. Eternal pain, however...

  • Do you believe every book you read?

  • No, I don't. But it's the best explanation I've seen for the creation of the universe. Science has yet to come up with a more believable theory, IMO.

The Bible makes prophecies, and every one of them has come true, except for the Revelation, which has yet to manifest. Jesus lived his life the way humans should live, not as an animal merely walking its course, but as a human being, created in the image of God, to do great things for this world through faith. Just one reason I believe. :)

  • Jesus was a man, yes, did he perform miracles? No. Was he the son of God? No. He was a man, a man who lived the life he chose to live like any other.

I really cannot believe the bible for it speaks not of anyother of Gods creations. We are but one planet out of billions. Billions of planets are uninhabited, if there was a God who could make life, exsistence, out of nothing, why would so many planets be left bare?

  • Because the conditions required for life aren't there? Why did God not make the right conditions?

The concept of religion is flawed in the same way that we once thought the universe revolved around us. Its too narrow minded.

I believe in a hand behind the motions of the universe, but not a god. Certainly nothing man could have any knowledge of, certainly nothing written down in a book of storys full of conflicting ideas.

  • I cannot prove that Jesus was God, just as you cannot prove he was "just a man". So this is a stalemate. Also, other planets could serve a purpose unknown to us. They could also serve a purpose in the afterlife. There is nothing "flawed" in thinking God created it.

Unraveling the enormous mystery that is existence is just one of the multitude of reasons I want to live an afterlife. But, there's no proof of that either. Hopefully more can find the capacity for faith.

  • I believe in something, but not a 'god'. Not a 'heavenly being', these are things that man has created. Scientists have seen the big bang, I believe that this was, whatever you you want to call it, be it an it or a he/she or a god, a being of some descripstion sacraficing itself. One thing science tells us is that engery cannot be created. merley transfered. Well something gave the unviverse its energy, but it must have given it at a cost.

  • @TheFathersAdvocate 10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Rev 14 :10-11

    It's real and everlasting

  • @TheJesusFiles This is concerning those who take the mark of the beast

  • The truth of Hell is that it's not real.

  • look even satan beleives in god

  • See, I don't believe this shit, why would anyone want to follow a God who has never appeared, never spoken, never done anything. What a joke the bible is, its nothing more than a story book...religion in general is nothing more than a method of control and definitely has no place in modern society. I just don't see how anyone could believe this stuff when so much research goes into real things, things that have been proven. Jesus was nothing more than a man, like any other.

  • God has appeared, spoken and has done plenty. You refuse to believe because you dont want to lose your sinful lifestyle. The reason this modern society is so messed up is because people with your beliefs have taken the Bible out of schools and the public view. Jesus is God and one day you will confess Him Lord and you bend your knee to Him, as all will

  • Oh yeah, when? What has he done...and you know nothing about my lifestyle, nothing at all. The Bible is nothing more than a book written by men. Should we go around believing in Harry Potter now as well? I just find "fire and brimstone" funny, its so medieval!

  • There is no proof of God's existence, other than everything.

  • How is that proof? I don't see that the fact that everything exists is proof of anything other than that they DO exist. On the other hand God has never been seen, heard or touched by anyone in a physical way.

  • If you can look around, at the trees, the birds, the sun, rain, the plants growing out of the ground; if you can feel love, hate, anger, and regret; if you think these things are not created by a higher power of any kind, then you are entitled to not believe.

However, there is too much feeling, too many emotions, and too much beauty in the world for me to disdain the notion that there is a God; a loving God, who is a father to this world as much as you are a son/daughter to your father.

  • Ha, a loving god. If his power is such that he can create life on a whim, why should innocent people suffer and die, while bastards are left to live their lives. If i was a believer in God, I would feel very ashamed of the way my lord treated mankind.

  • Innocent people suffer and die because of the mistakes of humans, not God. People blame God when things go wrong, but almost every problem on the planet can be traced back to human error.

So, in your opinion, God giving mankind freewill to do good and evil was an error? Aside from natural disasters, which account for very little comparatively speaking, I don't see how anyone could blame God for human suffering.

  • If it is as you say, and God merely wished to let us choose if we lived or died, how do you explain diseases? My father died of motor neurones disease, my aunt died of cancer, my mother crys every night because of my father. I can not believe in god, else I should try and kill him in the after life. He does no good for the world. Tell me one thing that you really can prove god has done to benefit us all.

And yes freewill to do evil was pointless, no good can come of evil so why bother with it?

  • If your god was really as good and pure as you say he is he would not allow such a place to exist. Good thing I'm an Atheist and I don't buy your bullshit.

  • Actually just the opposite is true. God is just, pure and holy. Nothing that defiles Him or His Word is worthy to be with Him. You may not believe but that doesnt mean it isnt real

  • You MAY believe it, but that doesn't make it real either.

    Believing isn't Knowing.

  • I DO believe it, because I have the capacity for faith, and love, and I believe emotions were instilled in humanity by a heavenly source, and fighting off corruption is a godly act, and not indulging in sin, and NONE of this can be explained by Darwin or any other theory that doesn't involve a loving creator of the universe.

God has treated humanity far better than humanity has treated God and this planet.

  • Yes, but none of it has been explained by god either. All you've seen, heard or read has come from other humans, so how can you be sure that any of it is true? Ultimately, we can argues these points 'till we die, beacuse we will likely not find the answers untill then.

  • Erm when you look in the google or yahoo about hell . its have quite scary pics wich i really dont wanna see.. You must be brave
