I AM A BLACK MAN AND I HATE NATURAL HAIR, IT SMELL, ITS NAPPY, MAKES women look ugly, i a, want a black woman with jet black straight hair. natural hair doesn't get my dick hard. if white boys like that nappy shit then go fuck white boys.
Man thats some bull, i be tryna find the woman with they hir natural tired as hell of looking at the whole perm thing(aint knockingit off) but u look good tho ma!!
you are an inspiration to young girls like me .. who are trying soo hard to accept who they are naturally when the media says that natural is unacceptable
Girl since I went natural I get so much love!!! My perm never gave me that! I am talking about a bald head natural skin scalp! U r fabulous beautiful married black woman! Confidence comes from just you rocking you! I can have on a garbage bag and sell it girl and take orders and I am not being vain. It is all in how you view you! If you view yourself regal then others view you that way. Change your perception of you and others will follow suit. Sometimes I get haters do not get me wrong!
You are beautiful. You are being looked at but because you are married you don't look to see who is trying to check you out. I just cut my hair loving it. Lots of men are marrying women and have no clue what they really look like. They will probably be in total shock on wedding night. When she takes her nails off, takes the hair off that she bought, and her contacts out, and lashes off. I feel sorry for the bros out there they really need to unwrap the pkg before saying i do. PEACE
India. Arie has locks. And Tameka Gray has a natural texture... I'm 18 and just decided i was tired of the damage from the chemicals i put in my hair. I have twists with synthetic hair right now but When my hair is long enuff to manage i will be going natural
Power to you sweetheart!:) U know, I saw also the woman law & order went from straight styles to many natural styles. I thought that was great. I am pleased that such a beautiful and long standing actress wears natural styles on one of the hottest shows on tv today.
Don't let that discourage you. The journey for us to be who we really are is going to be difficult. Our own people is brain washed and we will be able to change that the more people be themselves. I am a black man I love natural hair on women. If you wasn't married and I wasn't involved. I would holla.
I totally disagree...I'm a young black man and I love black women with natural hair b'cuz it's authentic...It's what makes a black woman and man different from every1 else. Our women have been taught 2 have themselves since slavery and it starts with the head
I think guys and well as many women still view natural hair as unkempt , dirty or sloppy. That is way I think you and even me too, receive strange looks like how can she come out the house that way.
you are saying the thing that many natural women are thinking. i completely understand! but i just think that having natural hair actually makes it better. less guys may try and talk to you but the ones that do, are of better quality because they aren't buying into media's idea of beauty. quality vs. quantity i guess. anyways, you are so pretty and i liked your video!
does anyone think that the reason why alot of men approach women with long straight hair as oppose to short kinky hair is because the it's subconciously associated with sex?
Not dissing women with long straight hair; I'm dissing the media.
yea. IT was like night and day when I chopped my relaxed hair off. and when I wear weaves, it's like i become visible to the world again...but i like it better when im natural cause when people do talk to me, i know it's out of my character shining through my individual style--not shining off the pack of yaki 1B sewed onto my head...ha!
Girl imma thick natural chick lol!! I from nc 2 girl but i still get approached. Most guys like it but sum people think i have "good" hair which i despise hearing that...but dis is 1 dude that knew me b4 i was natural does not like natural hair nad loves my hair when its pressed. He says he tolerates sum natural if it dont look nappy! He calls me tracee ellis ross. When guys holla its always hey jill scott / wassup my soul sista it drives me crazy. Yeah girl I luv my black men but they r a trip!

A lot of young black females (sometimes even the older ones too) glare at me when I go out with my afro like they're never seen anyone with natural hair before and it used to make me feel uncomfortable, but now I don't care. As for guys, they mostly just stare. One guy did tell me I was beautiful tho. one time I went out with my afro (that was when I still have a twa). I think a lot of black men do like natural hair. Others are either intimidated or uninformed and have the wrong ideas about it.
pt 2 - actually i wish that our women (celebrity or not) would stop wearing weave ALL the time. i'm about to call my best friend right now, 'cause she is one of them.
i just wish our celebrities would wear more of their hair, period! whether it's permed or not. i'm not doggin' weave, but when you wear it all the damned time...ooh the look just becomes so artificial and cheap. oops, i didn't mean to divert from the fundamental subject; i just had to comment on the point you made about our women in the public eye. *L*
I'm looking like such a liar right now but this is really the end. Just wanted to say if youd like to see what he saw email me & Ill send you the link so you can see me with weave & as a natural. Thanks for letting me vent, I hope you & anyone else who reads this has an awesome day!
No, problem I enjoyed reading this comment. I think if a man rejects you based on out ward appearance then he's not good enough for you or any one else for that matter, and he will end up with the type of woman he deserves. And for doing you like that I hope when he is running his fingers through her so called beautiful hair something runs from underneath one of those tracks and gnaws his finger off. Then maybe he will learn to appreciate real beauty. LOL!!LOL!! Oh yeah send me the link!
Did u see your eyes? I think our eyes and face look different when we go natural. You can see strength, love and depth, and knowledge. That is often missing from even an obviously strong sistah's permed/weave pics. She can look like she is powerful, but once she is natural, you see it just went to a whole notha level.
Maybe he saw that too & rejected the stronger you.
This is how bad it is, Ill share a recent experience. I met a man online who saw a pic of me with long hair (weave-lol a bad one at that) & he thought I was "Oh So Sexy." Well we started talking on the phone, & made plans to meet. I told him my look had changed & that I had decided to go natural. He said he liked natural hair better anyway & insisted that I send him an updated pic that night. Well I did, long story shortnever heard from him again. OK, really sorry...part 4 & I'm done.
Black men don't get that by rejecting the mirror image of themselves (Black Women) that they are telling the world that we (Black People) as a whole are unacceptable. It tells the world we are running from ourselves. I feel like in every other culture men support & put their women on a pedestal, not for strength or resilience but for their own ethnic beauty except Black Men. OK, I thought I could express myself in 2 parts but now I see I need 3. Last continuation, I promise.
Hi, I just want to say it is so sad that I can actually relate to you on this topic. It sickens me just thinking about how our own men who are in the same struggle we are in actually reject or look us over when we are just representing who we naturally are like every other ethnic group. Why do we have to feel shame or unappealing when rocking our natural hair? I'm running out of space so I'll have to make this a 2 part comment. Con't...
I definitely feel what you say! But I'm feeling the head wrap. I wear them also...just about everyday. But I need to know how did you get it to stay. If you find time, I'd love to see a video!
Sorry that where you live has given you such a terrible experience. You keep your hair natural. Black people are the only people on this Earth that have nappy hair. We're so unique and it's good that people like you and me can show it off. Too bad the rest of us have to miss out because we're scared to let what God gave us shine. Keep in natural girl!!!
I Beg To Disagree With You On The Fact That Men Don't Like Natural Women Because Me Personaly Queen I Love Them And I Live In Chicago Where We Need More Of Them And You Mentioned Age Group's Im 28 And I Cant Stand To See Queen's With Wig's And Weave's A Wig Is Understandable If It's A Health Thing Which Isen't Likely But To Me A Natural Woman Is The Most Beautiful Thing On The Planet Earth,Please Don't Get It Twisted Your Probaly In The Wrong Place.
I know I am in the wrong place. It's sad, but the cost of living is so cheap!!! I'm not going anywhere LOL.I just wish people would ask questions instead of just looking at me like I'm crazy.
I live in NC too, and everything you mention in this video is true. People are always asking me "What country are you originally from?" I'm a college student, and no guys will try to talk to me. I used to get approached when I had a wet and wavy weave, but not with locks!
I don't plan on changing my hair anytime soon, I love it too much :)
Wow... you're such a pretty woman, it's hard to think that hair would stop men from admiring. I'm married too, and now that I think about it, I think my ratio of those that holla vs. those that don't has declined drastically too LOL. The only time that I seem to get more attention is when I define my curls so that the curls are more evident.

U know the media loves to sell sex, and what kind of women of color that are normally used to sell a product? Women with the long hair..
So I guess u can sort take is as a compliment, when a guy approaches u, he wants 2 know YOU.
