To be honest, frm an exstudent's point of view, its is very far from the uni... if u r d type dat doesnt like getting up early in d morning, avoid thwaite hall and d lawns. if u dnt mind then its ok cos transportation in Hull is one of the cheapest. A day rider on bus (a bus pass) is only £2.60.
Hi I'm applying for entry in 2010 to do Psychology with Sociology, hopefully I'll get accepted!
I'm coming for the open day on 10th Oct, what is hull like? is it rough like everyone says? and I'm quite concerned about the halls of residence! they are so far from the main campus how do you cope?
Hull is like any city there are rough parts and nice parts. There isn't any real need to go to the rough parts of town for most students so there is no real problem. Thwaite is about a 1.6 miles from campus. There are buses that run regularly between the two or you can ride a bike or if you like, walk it.
This was my room in 2007-2008 University year... Was awesome fun, prepare to be host to a lot of gatherings though and lots of tidying if you end up in this room, well worth it all though
Welcome Ahaassiri, I am the Duck. I happen to know that the Chemistry Department is very good here. The life in Hull is OK. The prices of things here is reasonable. There are some rough areas as with any town however these can be avoided with out much effort. If you have any specific questions just ask.
back 20 or more years ago all the big rooms were shared
