  • @hemigod2 I know what you mean, same with wikipedia too.

  • i never thought MMA can be used outside of the cage. awesome

  • @chrisk1469 You forgot judo!!

  • @IamHellinger i don't know about judo. He was using judo locks and chokes, but he was also doing quite a bit of kneeing and other jiu jitsu-y things. I might not know much about jiu jitsu. But I'm fairly sure judo is pure throw/choke/bar.

  • I bet when filming, they were going to do a completely different fight. Then maybe, they both might of gotten pissed at each other and started fighting for real. And instead of stopping them, the director was like; "Keep filming. This is the money maker here!"

  • LOL at around 6:10 he winds up his punches like hercules

  • one hell of a fight

  • donnie yen is so hot its not even funny man. you make ass whoopings look sooooooooooo good.

  • @chrisk1469 Those may exist to some extent..but its Chinese martial arts for the most part with additions, rather than an even distribution across what you said.

  • awesome fight scene

  • If only MMA was like this.

  • Comment removed

  • The only thing I don't like about this is how they both fight with their chins sticking out. Perfect targets. But that's a minor thing; sick fight scene.

  • what kind of stance is 3:36?

  • @DontComplain muay thai

  • damn he just playing with him at the end of the fight!

  • haha 6:12, made me think of DK in Super Smash Bros.

  • @moomeowdogg LOL yeah!

  • Comment removed

  • McDonalds @ 2:25

    haha

  • BJJ meets HK

  • @6:26 Donnieeeeeeee SMASSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Collin Chou can fucking kick!!!!!!

  • this is good...i am sucking my thumb while watching this.

  • Other guy should have just tapped... If you don't tap you piss Donnie off lol.

  • Collin: But I must aporogize.

    Unsuspecting Victim: For what?

Collin: For this *caves his head in within 2 seconds*

  • Damn... kneebarred then heelhooked, then gets straight back to his feet and starts throwing head kicks?

  • Shit Donnie was rocking that Judo

  • Asian people always better than the European, African and American

  • that rifle was ridiculous light weight

  • Its Seraph

  • LOVE how got some grappling in here, and the techniques look good, not perfect. I love how he's using the jacket like a Gi to setup a triangle, the armbar looked really loose at start, but looks like it got tightened up after the camera changed views

  • for the making of this movie donnie yen trained in sanshou, wrestling and jujitsu at a mma gym

  • BAD ASS

  • long ass fight

  • Now THIS is what you call a fight scene!

Everything about it is near perfect - brutal fighting, clear editing, stylish background music. 10 out of 10!

One question for the fight experts. Would the move at 4:58 actually work in a real fight?

  • @WittiestUsernameEver Well considering he did it, I am assuming you could TRY it in a real fight... but I doubt they would let you pull it off.

  • @WittiestUsernameEver The scissors take down? Ryo Chonan pulled off something similar against Anderson Silva, if I remember correctly.

  • @WittiestUsernameEver Scissor sweep to kneebar then transition to heel hook. It was done to anderson silva which is how he lost. Even in MMA this is hard as hell to pull off, in a street fight, if you had a chance to square up and were brave enough to do it, it could work.... but in real life, his leg would be shattered and it would be game over, there's no getting back up

  • Collin Chou is Seraph from the Matrix

  • And no Jet Li would not stomp both of these dudes...... Donnie Yen is a straight badass and is probably in way better shape then Jet Li

  • One of the best fight scenes in a movie ever.. every thing is pretty much real besides the falls and the arm breaks

  • I LOVE DONNIE YEN.... HE IS THE BEST....... ALL I WANT TO SAY I LOVE YOU DONNIE YEN... UR ARE THE BEST..... LOVE YOU.... I LOVE ALL UR MOVIES THAT U MADE.....

  • Awesome!!!...free from Hollywood bullshit

  • ya know...this is like a real mma fight except the fall. tahts game over....maybe youd be lucky if you make it with no injury

  • i like how he used some ju jitsu in this. Dont see that much. My favourite fight scene ever.

  • Donnie Yen can kill Boyka

  • I like Donnie Yen's fighting style

  • question. how do they remember every single punch and kick? i mean...there've gotta be at least 100 whacks in this.

  • Jet Lee would stomp both these dudes.

  • gun fighters are weakest gays

  • I love how gritty and real this fight is.

  • @mannymatrixofwar2 Yeah that is why 99% of modern Hollywood fights sucks. Hong Kong knowa how to do it right.

  • This fight is much better than any Mortal kombat or Tekken brawl. Its a much more intense nd solid fight. A fully paisa vasool COMBAT

  • If Donnie Yen were to do a real MMA fight…

I'd be scared for whoever he fights. Before he actually got discipline in his art, he used to fight in the streets. So he's already got a taste for fighting for real.

  • now this is what we call A FIGHT!

  • no big deal u just broke my leg and ankle. now where were we?

  • straight up get your knuckle game in....love this brawl.

  • What? No shaking camera? No extreme jump cuts? Can this be real?

  • not since the days of jackie chans wheels on meals and police story have we seen real looking martial arts in movies like we do in donnie yen films.

  • 長谷部、そんなところで何しているの?

  • THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK.

  • The best.

  • donieは本当に強い!

    攻撃が直線的じゃなく

    相手の動きを読むのが上手い

    しかもドニーは様々な格闘スタイルを

    駆使している上トリッキー!

    らん提督に出来ないことは無い^-^

  • azn50 cent u make laugh hell ya that is right when chuck norris sleeping he should check bed with donnie yen kkkkkkkkkkahahahahha

  • Ohhhh you cut out the scene with that old lady...

  • meh, Too much grappling not enough hand to hand fighting...-_-

  • @WerdyA Yeah, and Shoot 'Em Up has too much shooting and not enough gunplay. I think you broke my brain.

  • 0:13

"That's right Donnie.....I watched Ip Man 1 and 2 last night."

  • 0:04

    "Dang.....Guess we gotta fight now."

  • I don't know about you guys but I rather go shirtless, when I'm in a fight, just saying that's what I would do.

  • @TheDakota718 Donnie Yen would just throw you by your nipples. I'll keep my shirt on, thanks. :-P

  • donnie got swag when he fights..

  • When Chuck Norris goes to sleep, he checks under his bed for Donnie Yen.

  • always zip your jacket when you're on a fight .... lesson learned ...

  • He can win 10 black belts >: why cant he win 1 guy

  • @tigermater12 Collin Chou is way better than 10 black belts haha.

  • @tigermater12 He did..

  • 6:23 greatest filmed punch in the history of movie punches.

  • 3:12 was a sick sprawl

  • dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmn

  • i think i 'm K.O at first D.Yen punch...

  • @1:15 thats right! suck my fucking dick!

  • So this is how MMA looks like if it is used in a movie done by people who know what they are dealing with and not some greedy Hollywood producers? Sweet.

  • @EPR89 Well not really. It's all choreographed and fights never last that long. You'd be tired out.

  • @TheShinProject So this is how MMA looks like if it is used !*in a movie*!

  • @TheShinProject

Absolutely correct. The average "street" fight between real people, trained or not, lasts around 3 minutes. Most people, even trained martial artists, just don't have the stamina for a 10 minute long fight. Even when you look at MMA fighters & Boxers, they prepare for months before hand in order to build up their stamina. If you forced 2 of them to fight each other with no prep, it wouldn't last 5 minutes.

  • @EPR89

    no

  • @Nudz Yes.

  • @EPR89

To be clear, It think this looks awesome, I love it, but it's not MMA if MMA in this case is meant to mean the typical fighting styles used in shows like UFC. This is acrobatic fighting with grappling. It looks fucking cool, but it's not one bit realistic or MMA (again, MMA as in the stereotypical mix of Muay Thai and BJJ).

  • @Nudz By MMA I only meant not just one style being used and the choreography being at least to some extent realistic. That's all.

  • @Nudz .... what? hang on mma in ufc is the combination of any two or more arts so not just Muay Thai and bjj cuz there is boxing and wrestling judo and kickboxing as well and i mean all yens bjj submissions are extremely accurate to what ppl can do in the octagon if they use creativity instead of brute strength. I would only say this simply because i do teach mma on the side.

  • Collin Chou always starring as a really crazy fighter :)

  • you know your f'd when an asian takes off his jacket and throws it on the ground.

  • TONY JAA!!!!

  • @steveyodog That is "Collin Chou" from the last 2 Matrix Movies, and Dead Or Alive movie as "Hayate"

  • i'm glad most of us are fat coz if we were agile like these two...too many street fights and assault charges!

  • @KirumbaJohn Lol you're the only fat one around here!

  • @lawrencetan007 dude, i just run two marathons this summer. my BMI is pretty good....but I still can't fight like these dudes.

  • Not to sound offense to ufc or mma fans. But try using those ufc or mma grappling or submission moves pretty much and you will get your butt kick badly when other will throw or slam you hard down on the ground or they will hit you with a elbow or knee to the face when you fight on the streets. Because I seen it happen a few time. The fact, don't use too much ground grappling or submission moves in a real fight cause you'll get hurt more when the other who punching or kicking you a lot.

  • @ninjafalcon1 Yeah there's different rules on the street. As a Marine martial arts master had once said: "If I get in the ring with Randy Courtre I'll get my butt kicked; but out here I'll kill him".

  • @Heeroyui752 Yeah, what the marine guy say is true. because cage or ring match most of them has a lot of rules but out on the street. it's about survival.

  • That fight gives me a Kung Fu boner!!!

  • This is a great fight scene. It takes a lot of work to make an 8 minute fight scene entertaining! Trust me I'm a Doctor.

  • I actually saw this movie 3 months ago on showtime

  • Just pure AWESOMENESS!!!! Donnie Yen is the shit!!!

  • Impressive if you realize they're past their peak (Collin Chou 43, Donnie Yen 48), which makes me sad.

  • This was one of the most amazing, outrageous fighting scenes in a movie Ive ever scene. MMA mixed with an actual kung fu movie. Something new to martial arts movies... Just Beautiful work, job well done....

  • 5:22 TASTE MAI CROTCH

  • IP MAN!

  • that there is a perfect example of Jeet Kune Do, how donie yen went form art to art with no limit no way, just the fight. I saw every art he used, and what he was using was the "Essence" of "jeet kune do". perfect I love this video!!!

  • 6:23 HADOUKEN

  • He was done at the arm bar on the roof, then the triangle, then donnie was done when he got slammed on the roof when he had the guy in a triangle, then the guy was done again twice in a row when he was knee barred and heel hooked. Donnie crossed his legs at the end when he was choking him out, that was a big no no. But great fight scene.

  • sexy

  • One of the best smackdown in a movie in a while.

  • Oh so THATS how you get out of a triangle hold

  • So who else wanna start a beef with Donnie??

  • i watch this the oder day, he is good action star

  • again another one of my donnie yen fighting scenes

  • Those are some of the sickest Judo Throws you'll ever lay eyes on.

  • i miss old school hk films, the introduction of grappling is nothing more to keep modern white audiences happy

I think its kind of cheap and lame. Wow i can throw you and stop you from moving by twisting your arms and legs, thats stupid

plus utilising old style techniques would get you out of these cheaps moves

eg. tiger/eagle styles do tough finger training eg. finger tip pushups

Using that to inflict damage in a situation where you can't punch or kick would break you out of a grapple

  • @LAHrebirth You're an idiot, then. Nothing is "cheap" in a fight. You put your opponent down as quickly and efficiently as you can. If someone is trained in a judo-style grappling form, then more power to them if they get close enough to utilise it.

  • @LAHrebirth There's also biting... which takes no training....

  • @LAHrebirth you're an idiot lol go to a jiu jitsu gym, tell a white belt to put you in w atriangle, and let's see you get out hahah A WHITE BELT! you'll be asleep before you know ithaha chump

  • modern style sound effects suck compared to 80's hk films

  • this was an surprisingly good endfight...the best of old and newschool

  • FuckKKKkin' Awesome!!! man!

  • i like the p4rt when he scre4med

  • 3:10 Ass Touching

  • Comment removed

  • does collin chou specialize in muy thai? he uses his elbows a whole lot

  • Crash vs bash wasting timeee nonsense...!

  • WING CHUN

  • fuck this is UFC... yen uses many grap skill...

  • @jalee91 nup.. man thats jiu jitsu ...

  • @Nulz0r it actually could be judo, im a black belt in judo myself, and i have a blue belt in juijitsu, but those throws are definitely judo, as for the submissions, it could be juijitsu, but we also teach those subs in judo, remember judo came from juijitsu, interesting point i'd thought i'd share just because it was on my mind, Brazillian juijitsu actually came from a judo black belt, not a juijitsu black belt like everyone seems to think :P sorry for ranting :P

  • collin use what style?

  • @AcheLone thai style

  • Haha how does the guy stand up after the heel hook at 5:06? It's nice to see Donnie Yen incorporate some Jiu Jitsu into his movies.

  • SHIIIIIIIIIIET !!!!, just realized Colin Chou was in the Matrix 2 and 3

  • Donnie's gonna get ankle locked on the RNC by locking his feet =(

  • he dose use MMA in Here mix with a lil Wushu

  • come on donnie yen use ur wing chun! :c

  • @zedmlftw1023

if he did the fight wouldnt be that fun :) 5 seconds with wing chun would end the fight

  • Collin Chou 's motto: break everything u can :D

  • what's donnie's fighting style?

  • @soraenja952 In this film it's MMA. Although he's a martial artist, I think his specialty is kung fu, and in that category - wing chun. I'm not too sure, because it's a film.

  • @MrMizanMiah this movie was made before ip man.

  • @Andreechan Ok. But his style can be anything though, in the film it looks like MMA.

  • @MrMizanMiah he has learnt many different styles of martial arts.. and yes his style can be almost anything. lols. but his original style was wu shu and his speciality isnt wing chun. he only learnt it for a little while in comparison to wu shu.. same with mma. though i have to admit he favours traditional martial arts.. which can be seen even in this fight scene lols. just sublte things give it away haha.

  • @soraenja952 originally wu shu.. thats why theres subtle hints of traditional martial arts styles within his strikes.

  • Just how many bones Collin Chou has?? :o

  • dude Donnie is the real deal !!!

  • I love seeing the arm spinning when Donnie fights... its funny

  • awesome

  • 6:14 even I got faked out by Yen
