heres a really easyier aand cheap way of litter training for rabbits and small animals. get any type of tray this could be , a tin tray, plastic tray any dam tray will be fine if it fits in the cage then put it in the coner put any safe bedding in it and every few days keep puting there waste in there litter tray then they will think thats where they go to do there buissnes then contiue to do this untill most of the waste is in there litter tray simple u dont need to waste money on pet litter

@TweetXBird Lato use to do the same thing when she was little. She was scared.then when she got older and chubbier she couldn't fit there anymore. U might have to coax them out with a good treat and for a while just try to block the entry way to under the couch..after while they get bored of it once they have established a good living space.

One of my friends has a fully grown bunny and she bites so much that my friend has bruises and scars on her arms lol and her scarf was chewed up too. But that bunny is so lovable nonetheless :)
It's good that she drinks from a bowl instead of a bottle :) Because the body position she's in when she drinks is more natural for her. I personally hate bottle... The little ball sometimes get stuck and they have a hard time getting water out of the bottle. Or it leaks... And that's not good either :)

@creamywasabi I Have a rabbit too, he just always used a litter box. the people who had him before me never trained him but they mentioned he always went in the corner. I think they naturally prefer a designated area.

@EmbracingDreams You can buy these pellets at a pet store and put in a box or container nad the pellets attract the bunny to do it's business there. :3
Mine won't drink from a water bottle either lol. You're doing everything right! but the yogurt drops are bad for them =( I know they love them but it can cause GI problems. Also the pellets that you give her, make sure there aren't any seeds in them. Plain pellets are the best. I'm glad she has such a big enclosure. Some people just keep their bunny in their cage all day, you clearly care and love her. So nice to see responsible owners!

Aw, what a caring mother you are! That's such a smart idea for a house too. I've heard of people creating large condolike cages from those attachable cubes? Like you can take the sides of the cube and rearrange the shape... LOL but anyway I'm pretty sure Gelato doesn't like the bottle because in the wild they drink from the ground [ie stream or river]. And it's also hard to get the water to come out fast. Great for hamsters though ^^

@BlueFoX0903 Yes but for little kits they need the alfalfa to grow and then when they get old you make the switch. That's what I have been reading and what people have been suggesting..she of course loves alfalfa nad will only eat t. hay if there is nothing else to eat.

@okeomasings8 well good luck and congrats on the new pet!!!! Holland lops by nature are a bit more friendly and loving than other bunnies ...so if u play with it alot it will love you..excpet it will only love YOU so if u have siblings or anything, they will be scared easily.

Wow so much work for her crib! I would work hard on getting your guy/gal on a waterbottle. I used to have a rabbit as a kid, and their chins can get raw and form cysty like bubbles on them from the water.. That happened to mine many times, and we had to ween ours to a bottle. Our rabbit back then was pretty big and had the whole laundry room to live in back then..
I had a bunny too once, but she had run away from home and so she was grown when I got her. I could really tell she had been treated bad, because she was kinda shy and didn't really like to be touched, anyway, I had to give her up when me and my family moved (I heard that bunnies can get so stressed out they die from it, and since I didn't want that a friend took her over).
The point is that she didn't drink out of a water bottle either, and so she ended up having a bowl too. No idea why though.
@japanime1234 I have class about 6 hours every day, and when I come home I work a lot at home. she's actually not that bad to take care ..the first week was a bit more exhausting because she was new and scare and now..she's soo good with potty training and not eating wires..it's like having a well trained puppy. but I always set a side a least 1 hour a day to sit on the ground to really play with her...other than that when she wants ..she comes for a petting..
Well I didn't like having a bunny since I had to clean the cage every day to keep the smell away(Plus it was a terrible cage) and every rabbit I've ever been around loved to bite me, claw, etc. Like when I had a bunny I would get attacked so to speak even trying to feed it. But I will admit the only bunny I ever had was already an adult when I had it so...I didn't really get to do any real raising(Well I had another one but it died just after I got it which was very depressing, I was like 6)
@KittyKatKatta Yeah bonding with it at a young age is important..but also the neutering is important too!! I like hamsters but I can't cuddle with them like I do with Gelato!
@GelatoDaVinci Mm, I have a feeling it was abused before I got it and I didn't have enough time before it died to bond with it. Personally I was always able to cuddle with hamsters just fine(When they weren't getting stuck in my hair) but if I wanted to cuddle with something I'd just cuddle a Cat. Maybe someday I'll give bunnies another chance

I think its awesome you let her roam so freely... I wish I could but my little monster would probably chew wires, eat plants and pee.....

Timothy Hay is better for the Buns,
No Pine bedding get rid of it.
Pet Smart is where I got my cage and its super nice with a pan that slides out at the bottom so u could just take it and dump it.
Prevue Small Animal Houses with a stand - its on their website too!
They also have little hidy houses which Snuggles my Bunny LOVES :)

@okeomasings8 well good luck and congrats on the new pet!!!! Holland lops by nature are a bit more friendly and loving than other bunnies ...so if u play with it alot it will love you..excpet it will only love YOU so if u have siblings or anything, they will be scared easily.

@FrenchBeautyQueen the first week she made boo boos in certain area of my apt. then I just put the kitty box there used some of her scent (old news paper she peed on) to place in the box...now she just goes there ^_^"

Wow so much work for her crib! I would work hard on getting your guy/gal on a waterbottle. I used to have a rabbit as a kid, and their chins can get raw and form cysty like bubbles on them from the water.. That happened to mine many times, and we had to ween ours to a bottle. Our rabbit back then was pretty big and had the whole laundry room to live in back then..

I had a bunny too once, but she had run away from home and so she was grown when I got her. I could really tell she had been treated bad, because she was kinda shy and didn't really like to be touched, anyway, I had to give her up when me and my family moved (I heard that bunnies can get so stressed out they die from it, and since I didn't want that a friend took her over).
The point is that she didn't drink out of a water bottle either, and so she ended up having a bowl too. No idea why though.

@japanime1234 I have class about 6 hours every day, and when I come home I work a lot at home. she's actually not that bad to take care ..the first week was a bit more exhausting because she was new and scare and now..she's soo good with potty training and not eating wires..it's like having a well trained puppy. but I always set a side a least 1 hour a day to sit on the ground to really play with her...other than that when she wants ..she comes for a petting..

Well I didn't like having a bunny since I had to clean the cage every day to keep the smell away(Plus it was a terrible cage) and every rabbit I've ever been around loved to bite me, claw, etc. Like when I had a bunny I would get attacked so to speak even trying to feed it. But I will admit the only bunny I ever had was already an adult when I had it so...I didn't really get to do any real raising(Well I had another one but it died just after I got it which was very depressing, I was like 6)

@KittyKatKatta Yeah bonding with it at a young age is important..but also the neutering is important too!! I like hamsters but I can't cuddle with them like I do with Gelato!

@GelatoDaVinci Mm, I have a feeling it was abused before I got it and I didn't have enough time before it died to bond with it. Personally I was always able to cuddle with hamsters just fine(When they weren't getting stuck in my hair) but if I wanted to cuddle with something I'd just cuddle a Cat. Maybe someday I'll give bunnies another chance

@Loggybee when I am out she is in her play pen I buit her....she is so bad she hates that thing I know it too she gets soo gloom when she is in it... I will make a vido talking about the liter training ..

@Chaucer129 yes mommy does. I always track hay when I eat because I like to watch t.v when I eat. Also she is afraid I will catch allergies from the dust!
