the thing is for a long time americans didn't came up with any good ideas/plots for the movie...they just make the "improved" remakes..eg"inglorious basterds" or "avatar"..

europeans are by far more inventive in term of movies than americans..

same will happen with the "millenium trilogy"

@tyg8rys that is only because hollywood movies sell there, there is target market.. in europe people aren't as close minded and conservative so there is a bigger market for deeper stories and somewhat arthouse way to play them out. but in terms of writing and movie making it's a level playing field across the globe - the true works of art are always going to be niche and not get much exposure no matter where they are from. but saying avatar is a remake, every movie you watch is in some way

Just finished the 3rd book and recently saw the 2nd movie. Can't say enough about this great series. The best writing to come along in years and sadly the author passes away. I didn't want to finish the 3 rd book because I didn't want it to end. Hopefully the estate will see to it that this great series continues. Eagerly awaiting the 3rd movie in USA in Sept. Can't understand why they want to remake these in English....oh yeah...THE MONEY!

@olakunde: Only the first movie was made for cinema. The sequels were made for TV and were originally supposed to be screened right after the first one. But because TGwtDT became so popular they reedited the other two parts and released them at the cinema. But yeah, they were originally made for TV (so different directors, a lower budget, etc) which annoys some people, but if you're only after the story there will be no problem. This should really be watched as a TV series though. ;)

Typically film trailers don't have score from the actually movie since they like to keep things secretive and keep the theme sort of "underground" until premier. You could be right though, I'll see what else I can find out. Can I ask where you found this information?

I just saw it! My friend's nephew invited me to see it for free at the theatre he works for in my neighborhood. WOW. Intense. I love that girl... I love her strength and I love how the bad guys get their just desserts... only the ending.... ??? Don't want to spoil it. I LOVE it in Swedish and it would be ruined in English.
