studies have shown that even in occupations like psychologists, cops, fbi agents, lawyers, etc. Only a very very tiny percentage of people can consistently tell when people are lying. This women is probably one of those very rare people. Telling whether someone is lying or not is highly complex and as many of you said, highly contextual. I think she knows that and the tidbits she gave can't be taken too literally as a = b and the things she referred to don't always happen.

If I'm trying to explain something complicated to a person who isn't an expert on my field of work but needs to know some crucial facts, I'm definitely talking slowly, taking pauses and sometimes over-emphasizing words while talking and thinking. Hopefully my clients don't think I'm lying.

Some people are introverted,insecure and more complex and much of this does not apply.They may have a hard time explaining complex thoughts to people who may not be capable of grasping them so so they are busy stumbling all the while their nerves act up .People often perceive this as thoughts of guilt when it is not at all.

Ok... Except down and right is either a kinesthetic accessing cue (meaning she's feeling something), or a signal that she's thinking of words. Read frogs into princes, Richard Bandler and or John Grinder (you'll see why I'm not sure which) go into great detail about eye accessing cues. They are not, and can not be used for lie detection.
