@mandapanda300 I actually couldn't tell you a 'technical' term for the way I strum haha. When I learned the song, I just listened to it a couple of times and then tried to make it my own by playing open chords and just really letting those the E and B strings ring out. Open chords have so much sustain in them and you can really fill up sound space with them I think.

I play out of the key of B and instead of barring the chord, I just hold the 2nd fret of the A, and the 4th frets of the D and G strings letting every other string ring out. The chord after that is some type of E (not sure exact name). It's played by holding the 2nd frets of the A and D string and the 4th of the G. Hope that makes sense.
