I have released more trout than I can count in my life. Guess what, I take a 30" fish on the Madison and it is coming home with me. I just want one like that in my life.
This is a silly point.....one fish (introduced species), from a part of the river that exists below a damn (man made), above a lake (constructed by corp of engineers), by a man who has spent 50 years helping others learn to fly fish, have fun, and enjoy our natural resources, that decided to keep the best fish of his life. I think everyone needs to lighten up a bit.

It is a shame that a guy like this needed to harvest a 30" trout! Was a picture not enough? Not a very good steward of the sport in my opinion.
