  • Jim Clark won first time out in the revolutionary Lotus 49 with the Ford Cosworth DFV V8 as a stressed member of the chassis.Today all F1 cars are built like that.Lotus was first.The DFV won races every year until 1983!!It stayed competitive until the late 80's.
