Saw these guys in Virginia Beach years ago. It was such a great show. It got so intense musically that the guy next to me jumped up and swung from this old wooden beam. He got tossed out. When I left the show he was standing outside probably trying to hear the music as best he could. He said to me "how was it"? I said freaking great man what the hell did you do? He said I don't know, I screwed up. The show was loud, fast, and fun. I wish they would tour a little down south. Great stuff.
I love this CD. Bought the LP back in the 80's and saw them in Cleveland. I got to talk to Dave and Stan gave me his sticks after a song. Ex has them now, though :(
The Feelies are amazing. Crazy Rhythms is one of the best guitar records I know. The look really fun live too. I wish they'd play other places outside the US.
That song sounds so intense live!! Very Melodic stuff! Those two drummers really open up the music to an incredibly high intensity!!! One of the most underrated rock groups! Why they're not in the, "Rocking Roll Hall Of Fame, just boggles my mind!"
bill million-i played his single fa ce la when in college. Stopped by the station with his brother (visiting Orlando fl) to say hello/thank me. Ran into him/actually saw feelies preform in nyc, I think at TR3 or hurrah and then in Hoboken. Quite an ingenuous fellow.
DITTO! I've written to Rhino that they would put out a Feelies box - to no avail yet...they must in some legal limbo??!! Along with their stellar own classics the Feelies recorded some great covers like Dancin' Barefoot and Paint it Black and I state that these should be made availabe in pristine digital clarity to the hungry audience...god, please show yourself!
I didn't think that song could possibly get any faster.
