Yes, it's sort of an ad-lib, but actually, Alessandro Juliani doing this kind of thing for the BSG gag reels since Season 2. You can find them on the web. In one scene, he's given a hard drive of essentially BSG's version of the Library of Congress, and the first thing he asks is if it's got any porn. He's also ad-libbed other stuff for the reels where his character clearly has the hots for Baltar.
