I don't really see the character of Jareth as 'dark' or 'evil,' just very lonely. And possibly mistreated at some point in life...

But like AnaisPhoenix says, there are many different views. And it's interesting to look at the story through some of the different views.

Yeah, I always thought it too; but this vid is a dark version of the story, so I think she really could stay with him, but in canon. :)

I'm aware that this concept's rather strange, all Laby fans usually prefer cute romantic stories of Good Jareth and J/S happy ending (so do I, hehe), but I tried to regard this story under absolutely another aspect, dark and angsty. I was inspired by fics I read and I was encouraged by those my friends who're fans-of-angst. :) So it's very nice to hear that the viewers like this concept and this vid. I really appreciate that.

But that's really true; it's dark angst as provided by genre rules. Story contains dark atmosphere, evil character (very evil, hehe), symbolism and character's death. It's more than enough to call its genre as "dark angst". :)
