Then, according to Gesta Hungarorum, the oldest hungarian chronicle, the hungarians defeated the Romanians and Slavs inhabiting Transylvania. Even so, Transylvania was most of the time an independent principality, not part of Hungary. After 1527 Mohacs, Hungary ceased to exist as a state. At Trianon, Transylvania returned to the rightfull owners, the Romanians. I think it's more than clear.

I think nothing compares with the beauty and peace of Southern and moldavian monasteries, or old houses with gardens around, all white and flowers in Oltenia or Moldova etc.Music, literature,science we have it all.Enjoy both cultures!
