I don't know if anyone has noticed this yet or not, but the audio towards the end involving the dialog between the commentators Mark Wilson and Ed Pinsong was edited between 7:28 and 7:36 to make it look like they said something they really didn't. Mark Williams says "he's gonna scratch on this shot and justifiably so. It was the proper way to play it" If you look up the original video Mark Williams says "even though he made those two balls neither one of them was the proper way to play it"

Reyes is a great player,but hes also the luckiest man ever to hold a cue,He gets every lucky break there is to be gotten,everything always goes his way,Ive seen him win more matches by his opponent choking than Ive seen him win just flat out beating them,sure theres matches he won straight up,but you go through these clips,and youll see what I mean,

I would imagine that he doesn't mind as much losing to Efren because Efren has some real skill unlike alot of his opponents who try to make up their lack of skill and knowledge by deliberately winding him up because they know he has a quick fuse. I certainly don't think Earl is the villain some try to make him out to be.

These two guys are probably the two most talented individuals in the game that have ever lived. I heard that Mosconi wept once after watching Earl play for the first time, because he knew he'd seen the 'future of pool'. I think people should give Earl a break though, he's only a person. Good old days with the generous pockets - both take shots they would never play again today. Sure it requires more skill today, but takes away a part of the show. Even in the lower leagues we have very tight pockets today here in Germany - you can hardly play a ball against the rail before the pocket, sucks in straight pool especially when you're restricted with positional play...

Never the less you can appreciate a runout or a good highrun even more than back in those days

Eveyone has there favorite players some might say Efren is the best some might say Earl. This match was to determine who is the best no one else could have played this match except these two. Both played a great match but Efren won. People can say Earl should have won but he didn't. I can make the same argument and say imagine if Efren was breaking better throughout the match and not just at the end.

Yes, I agree, they are two of the greatest of all time. And Efren probably is the greatest there ever was, up there with Mosconi. I am disappointed by Earl though 'cause he had such great potential, but it was kinda ruined by his attitude, he would rush sometimes, and it seems like even give up on matches if he wasn't playing well. I hated this about him because I knew he couldv'e been so much more if it wasn't for these short-comings. Ah well, what can you do.
